Why my leg got burning sensation when going up hills? Build up of lactic acid?
I now realise cycling up hills is not easy as it seems

Did 20km again today. My leg is so tired on hills area. Keep finding myself no streght to pedal when going up hills even with 25 cassate and compact crankshaft @@ Nearly stray out into random grass area when cornering when i enter the corner too fast.

So how you guys did the standing up? just stand up and ride?
Wondering if the clipless pedal tension setting for everyone is tight(need more strenght to unclip) or light(easy exit)? For me i just put tension as light as pedal allow for to allow me to clip out easier. |

I caught cough and cold yesterday No wonder my ride with my friend at usual route was some what more tirering than usual. Having strong winds doesnt help at all especilly riding into the wind blow direction that made me do more effort than claim day.
Is it okay to continue ride with that or just take a rest for time being until everything goes back to normal? |

I just wanna ask, is it okay to stand and and ride (simulating going uphill) with my Tacx satori trainer? Will the side to side motion cause damange to the frame?

I guess i still leave it to riding on saddle normally and leave the riding while standing motion on the road? Having carbon rear fork doesnt help with my aluminium frame.
Btw, anyone used sigma rox9.0? Is it good/reliable? This post has been edited by minizian: Aug 29 2012, 12:09 AM |

wow EMC r2.4 at RM2.5k that its good deal based on the groupset offered but without sealed wheel hubs and carbon seatpost as in offered in r2.2.
I still do not clock enough km's to see the performance of my R2.2 but the creator said it is stiffer than some carbon fibre frame. I have not try to test his claim yet. |

emc review will be up soon, was busy with my exam and sorts.
Think i will just post review here when i done. Hmm less spacer on the steerer/stem = more lower position = more power??? I still don understand it yet. I did try to ride under the drop but still had no confidence doing corner in drop position unlike turning while the hand on the hood. This post has been edited by minizian: Sep 5 2012, 10:54 PM |

Hey just curious if order bike online eg canyon.com will inccur duty tax when import into malaysia? Considering luxury item like rolex dont have any tax in it i assume bicycle are the same too. ?!
Added on September 6, 2012, 9:33 pm QUOTE(lot101 @ Sep 6 2012, 08:32 PM) yeah go fast stickers add XX more km/h My EMC bike cost around RM3.2k, if you like why not go for it. Just stick to the current stuff and upgrade as it wear away.not sure if there is a shop that would provide test rides....my review is less then stellar. It does not reflect the bikes true nature. The EMC was offered to me in the low 4K/= margin which is well below merida 904 range I think. The seller was asking me to go for a 3-400 m ride on a stretch of semi-patchy road, I was taken a back by his offer since I told him I was only 'looking'. I went I have been to a few shops where I said I was ready to buy and none of these BRANDED bicycle shops proferred a test ride. They just 9gagg style 'not a f!@# was given that day'. Hey ButtHead post up a relevant pix please. All this is in ampang to batu caves area. Have not been to pee-jay and its surrounding areas yet. QUOTE(lot101 @ Sep 6 2012, 09:42 PM) That is 'The Malaysian Dilemma' ...... buying for a lack of a better (comparative) choice. EMC is quite well known here in australia and even so in NZ (that where they come from). Seen some of it riding around here on daily basis. There few shops here that carries this brand brand here. The shop I got my EMC for manage to sell all of its last year stock. For some odd reason they cant get hold of this year EMC due to some supply prob perhaps.I am just wondering if this EMC brand is 'good' (to me la but not blown away good).....what about Merida or Giant's range or even Polygon to say the least ? Of course all this is based on relevant spec and pricing. Your tax question, with regards to bicycles....if its above RM500/= then its taxable....read it some where. Not sure how relevant is it today. Of course there are ahem ahem options. I have no such lubang. Which EMC model do you have ? kms.customs.gov.my see if you can find anything here. One of the local magazine review Equp 1.2 and give good praise about its price and perfomance ratio. ![]() I had EMC etape R2.2 which is alu but with carbon rear seat stay, aprox around 9kg ish. I not particular about being aluminium since i am newbie to road cycling and probabaly cant feel the difference. The founder of brand told me its stiffer than some carbon frame too. Mine around RM3.2k for the bike only. Had spacer put on the shifter and it does feel more natural flow from hood to shifter for my small hand than without it. Here teh pic, mine in the middle » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « I think buying bike in aussie can be headache as there are many choice in the price range, plus sales at year end and mid year with high discount make thing worse This post has been edited by minizian: Sep 7 2012, 04:47 PM |

What the diff between garmin edge 500 in red/black and blue/gray other colour combo apart from the price. Is the premium heart rate strap worth getting on the red/black edge 500?

QUOTE(mrjgx @ Sep 7 2012, 08:33 PM) Not sure about the colors though..I was once eying for the edge 500 too previously, but ended up with sigma. Garmin model line up is considered as a premium cyclocomputer for most of us..I think it's good if you will be utilizing the gps function to the most, or to phsycoanalyze your post ride data to death Which sigma are you using now? Is it Sigma Rox 9.0? If so, can you please give me your opinion about it?To be honest, when I ride what matter the most in my computer is the heart rate functions..speedometer comes second, cadence in third place. To be honest...95% of the time I'll be looking only at my HR. well different rider will have different opinion..so I'm just stating my 2 cents worth of opinion. QUOTE(butthead @ Sep 7 2012, 08:51 PM) i think the color makes no difference.. there was a argyle version for garmin slipstream team which was special edition and costs a bit more... but same functions.. I do not plan to skip on if i going to go for garmin, just curious about the differences between the colours and the combo. I did not read carefully the description and just curious about the diff price range for the identical item (but in diff colour) The red black really matched my bike well.the basic 500 comes with only the speed sensor.. that costs a couple hundred bucks cheaper.. i think 700 over here in KL.. and there is a full pack or maybe the premium you are referring to.. which consists of the HR strap and cadence sensor.. and i think it creeps to 900 or 1.1k... it's worth it to buy full pack because the sensors sold separately actually costs more than the price diff of the basic and full pack... dun try to save the money to regret it.. sensors at this level needs to have the full function or you don't buy them at all...which is why i said... think properly of your needs before you make a move to buy... it's the balls to the walls type of trip computer at this level.. 800 is pretty much overkill with the color screen and topo map.. actually.. my meters now don't serve much function.. i practically don't look at speed, cadence nor HR.. cos, roughly you can feel it already.. i use it more as a data logger to log my elevation and stuff.. A friend of mine actually had a unused new sigma rox 9 for sale at AUD150. That why i am in delima should i go all out for garmin i think my lbs will be selling around 400 plus aud or settle with rox for time being This post has been edited by minizian: Sep 7 2012, 10:20 PM |
