and u mobile renew contract with maxis, and roam under maxis for 2G and 3G 

ok, i know it might be stupid to ask here, cos all uMobile and i hope u all don't flame me ya..

Currently my digi contract just ended, due to the bad coverage and turtle internet, i wanna change, was looking in maxis or umobile now, just asking, how is the reception quality( call, sms, internet stability ), and what is the average speed for these areas: Bandar Utama, Bandar Sunway, Bukit tinggi klang

if it's gooding, i'll go change tomorrow liao i think

that means, if it's out of their own data coverage, they will use maxis's 3G network if it's available right?

i know i can read back, but I'm in the middle of some coding now, maybe i'll read back around tomorrow to get a better idea.

before that I'd like ask a few more specific questions, if you don't mind answering me, cos i think quick read might miss them. How is the reception indoor, say ground floor of a 5-7 floor flat, normally DiGi would have 0 signal at all unless i am near a window or door, maxis as i recall still have, but not sure about internet speed, as my parents doesnt use data.

Other then that, the feedback i heard on uMobile data is that, although the speedtest result might seem high, but only a few popular sites loads as fast, the rest will not be as fast as the speed test result for some reason( most likely bandwidth optimization problem ).

My concern is at least getting stable edge so that i can whatsapp indoor, and as long as my call not like digi, putus putus a bit like that, vomit blood one

Personally I think UM are great with Youtube or whatever video streaming. You get awesome speed test and such but in actual usage like browsing and downloading from Play/Apple Store, I think a bit slower than Maxis. Strange thing is that after 12AM, just like TM, everything speed up and you do get good speed comparable or better than Maxis, depending on your coverage.

This was my experience from about 6-7months back.

If you asked me, I would say sharing tower with UM is what made Maxis somewhat slower these day. Back then, I really hate UM whenever Facebook'ing. Its really slow when you load the pics, sometimes to the tune of Digi speed, and you know whats its like since you are on Digi. Im also considering moving my WORK line to UM RM18 but not quite sure if they have improve on the casual usage speed.

Today I saw in 7-11 outlet, RM18 instead of RM28 for unlimted internet & free calls! 

250 mb & 30min, actually not launched yet, just the brochure went out

     
I oso went by 7e today and saw the banner. I was afraid UM decided to revise the plan, but thank god we now have 2 options!! I myself like umi28 better because I need the free mins. I can suggest the umi18 for my students to use.

but pretty sure, U28 + POSTPAID TALK PLUS RM 8 for 80mins to all others operator are much more attractive

guys, how to unsubscribe my UMI ? my UMI will expire in november but i'm changing to

blackberry and yesterday subscribed the monthly BIS. speed still using the capped UMI

64kbps but not the BIS one.called CS but they said need to wait till the UMI

Lol nice try to poison    but I dont wanna be attach to any postpaid. Plus the free minutes and smses I get from umi28 still have like 60% left. Usually bring forward, every month also tak habis gune. RM30 for calls + sms + internet per month, man I'm set.

Your UMI can be deactivated through USSD Menu Browser at *118# or via SMS (“Stop Umi 18” or “Stop Umi 28”,) and send to 28118

Using Maxis in Genting with 3G but someone mentioned only 3g with u mobile, any idea why since u mobile riding on maxis only 2g in Genting?

BTW anyone using Umobile in melaka?
