it is possible, and I just did it yday. visited the PG hq in Qbay mall around 2PM, spoken to the ppl there and resubmit my new application for MNP. Within 2hours, I got the sms stating Umobile are processing my line, and 8PM, voila. Maxis sms-ed me stating they had let me go and 8.45PM i got the umobile line activated.

All within the same day, and less than 6 hours. Personally think that its the personnel and also dependent on your bill clearance from old carrier.

In my case it gave me free calls immediately once I top up RM50 even I do not purchase any packages

I need data all the time.
Hmmm meant 3G cause this problem?
BTW do you guys experience always change speed when have interchange the moment, it totally no data.

Took me awhile to understand.
I submitted my report last week, the only reply I get the report is received. I stop missing calls though.

Due to further investigation, my area, MMU Malacca, does not have uMobile tower, so they're using Maxis tower, in the agreement doing so, uMobile only allowed to use one data(?) at a time, as in, when you're on 3G/H+ network, you won't be able to receive calls, SMS but you can only surf internet. If you need to receive call, you have to turn off data plan, even better choose 2G line only. In conclusion, only use data plan when needed.

As I said, I don't mind. Probably there's some interested newbies wanted to subscribe live in those area wanted to know "real" information from another user.

Anyway, I turned on data plan last night from Kelantan -> Terengganu.
Terengganu only KT have 3G/H, all other place GPRS.
Pahang in most small town have H+.
Segamat & Muar have H+.

on feb 2012 i bought the simcard with data 1gb. in a month i watched over 3hrs youtbe vids n dwnload 2hrs of them with good speed. i m satisfied wit the value

starting Jun, in a month no downloads, only watched 2hrs youtbe vid n thats it! '' you have reached data quota n speed will be managed ''

and now Dec, like usual after i get that same '' text '', i payed my bills n 2 days later when surf, Google took 10secs / surfing a page took 20secs / a youtube vids manage to watch 10secs of video after 1min wait!! weird thing is the bar is full with hsdpa!!

it used to be 0.5 - 2.5 mbps, but now can't even load the speedtest page! i think this is even worse then edge 284kbps!!

is this got something to do with UMOBILE sharing lines with MAXIS instead of CELCOM?!! or this another dirty move by telcos like lasweek they discuss in the parliment about telco intentionally disturb call lines causing people cannot hear clearly

When the quota cycle ? Is it on the 1st day every month? Like me just bought yesterday, is it my quota is 30gb until 31st dec n it will renew the new quota 30gb on the 1st jan?

How is the 3G speed on maxis?

DAY4: Having same problem..issue start after 8PM - 11PM , then it become stable after 11PM.. did umobile having maintenance or cannot handle too many users anymore? the ping response to google is more than 3000ms and always time out.. normal ping response should be 100ms -200ms ..anyone can having same problem?

Guys, i see some people are porting their number to umobile, what does it means?
Is it that you can have the same number (celc,dig,max) with mobile carrier? or just change number as usual? Do enlighten me.. Thank you..

What is not bad? There's really no data connection available, only nearest town (50KM away) got coverage

I called Customer Support, they confirmed there's no way I can use my dataplan here except on GPRS until further notice. I asked, when this place going to have the coverage, the only answer is we have no plan to support that area. I guess I have no other way other than terminating my package
