that's why need 2 numbers.
Don't understand why umobile won't give roaming. Can attract more customers right?
*
Maybe U Mobile feel tat most of the customers use very less in prepaid. Imagine customer A in his/her prepaid balance not more than RM30, there is no point U Mobile launched roaming to other country (Except Singapore), am I rite? cool2.gif

Plus U mobile focus in Malaysia and Singapore market, but very curiously why don't open roaming in Brunei and Thailand? whistling.gif It's very near Malaysia aa~ yawn.gif

It still can attract most customers, bcoz of the data plan, it is unlimited neh... Bt once kena quota, the speed will slow down. blush.gif Not like DiGi, Celcom or even Maxis, including Tune Talk and XoX XinXun, they straight away "terminate" or charge as "pay per use" once u reach the quota.. shakehead.gif

I use the U Mobile around 2 years, I'm still waiting for roaming in Brunei there. But seems like U Mobile marketing department don't do improve or launched for this roaming country, very soon I gonna to MNP to XoX XinXun. blush.gif It's very attractive MNP to XoX XinXun straight away 28 months account active. I not need every month keep top-up to stay active my account. icon_idea.gif

very simple.

U Mobile's 33% is owned by Singapore Technologies Telemedia (STT) <-- which in turn owned by Temasek Holding.

StarHub, Singapore is part of STT.

so, it's logical that Umobile <-> Starhub enabled the cross-country roaming.

http://www.starhub.com/content/promotions/...eenprepaid.html
http://www.u.com.my/prepaid-packages/prepaid-roaming

umobile customers roam to singapore, will latch on to starhub network and its local call rate. vice versa, starhub customers roam to malaysia, will latch on to umobile network and its local rate.

umobile couldnt enable roaming to other countries because of realtime roaming billing & charging system is not available.

why postpaid have roaming? cuz charging is not realtime, and uses different system.

that MORE doesn't mean ENOUGH for the extra cost, don't think that u mobile got enough capital to do so much for now.

yup, postpaid do have. cuz they use different charging system. for prepaid, they dont because it needed a realtime charging/billing and the only open to MY<>SG

3G 22Mbps VS 4G 22Mbps is huge different though

mdzaboy no starter pack for postpaid. cheapest is U28 Postpaid (1GB data). no contract for the postpaid plans. if you take phone, then contract will kick in.

why not get Prepaid? RM8 per pack onli. then try out UMI plans. http://www.u.com.my/prepaid/unlimited-mobile-internet-plan

btw, bonus 500MB if you renew your umi plans.

I don't understand the bonus 500MB T&C. What it means by 7 days validity?

Meaning if I renew by 1 Oct, then free 500MB is until 7 Oct? If unutilized then will be burned?

Hotlink now has Always Free Internet plan, hmm...

Hotlink Always Free Internet plan = 64kbps speed

umobile umi = no speed limit.
