Hi guys, did my radiator servicing at taman mount austin cos could not locate the shop in taman daya.

Luckily open 930am. In front, across the road from halfcut shop name Narita. Interorga radiator, a big factory doing servicing.
Dismantle n service n install done in 1hr 45min.

Just to share, servicing price for wira 1.3 manual, short radiator.
Servicing n dismantling charge : Rm80
Denso long life coolant rm20

New Denso radiator for wira manual 1.3/1.5
Single layer rm200
Double layer rm220
Installation rm30

Now temp maintains little bit below half meter, stuck in jam n hway speeding also maintain. Also, from some invoices I saw many car service centre also send radiator service here.

Sorry about you could not get the shop in TMN Daya, anyway i don't know the exact shop location as well.

Good sharing bro, spotted that factory very often. mandarin signboard named as 永通
By seeing what you posted, price they quoted also reasonable. Re-cond = New? but shouldn't be any problem to use.

Location: You won't miss that factory if you are travelling along Jalan Mutiara Emas 7

I would do two things if I were you
1, check any sign of petrol ground when I moved the car away from the initial parking slot.
2, send to workshop and ask them help to check the fuel related components at the bottom.

what should I do to lower the car engine temperature.
whenever I drive, the temperature usually idles at the 2nd point.

it's a manual 1.5L Wira.

is that normal?
*
Guess that normal, anyway, try to search discussion on thermostat in this or previous thread.

Changed my timing belt recently, traveled for only 55K on that belt, loose timing belt had caused me below problem:-
engine off when car move from idle position at traffic light
engine off during U-turn

thought to be coil/ plug problem, eventually found out it was due to loose timing belt and engine timing ran off 99.

Lesson learned, never use cap ayam brand of timing belt. Very difficult to find trust-able foreman nowadays..

LOL! All the while been using Michelin. Recently just replaced 4 new Michelin PS3 smile.gif
Normally can hear the rear tyre noise with the road inside car when driving above 80kmh compared with front tyres. This is due to the rear tyres mudguard in between our trunk and rear seats. Not sure if installing the boot trim might help reduce the echo or not because my Wira sedan last time was bought without accessories and the boot trim. By the way, I also just replaced the original rear bearings last month as well.

wasei, PS3 some more, how big is your rim?

Hello guys, recently i just bought a 2nd hand wira with 4g91 auto transplanted. I am quite new to 4g series engine. Need to learn more from you guys. Currently i just got the car and encounter idle problem. It seems the idle rpm not stable. While in P mode, the idle is somewhere around 1k rpm w/o air con. Now when i open air con the rpm will fluctuate and whenever i engage a gear, such as D mode, when the car is not moving, the rpm keep revving between 200-800rpm, sounds like engine gonna die off. I research around forum and found that its common problem for wira. Many will say isc problem. Can i get it repair, or some suggest adding a ficd might do the tricks. Approximately how much i need to fork out to get it repair, Fyi the throttle body is mmc 1 , not vdo. another thing i want to ask is what engine oil u guys recommend for 4g91, to prevent the tappet sound in my engine block, so far I havent hear any tappet sound in the engine.
*
Seldom hear MMC throttle body would give such idling RPM problem like VDO blush.gif blush.gif , but you could probably do some basic check and change on the newly purchased not so new wira brows.gif brows.gif
anyway, ficd seems like costing below RM100, but you need to get that toyota thingy

clean throttle body 1st, second, check if plug cable give you problem, guess you have already change sparks plug as well.

even though no sound, I would send to adjust valve tappet first, so could track this wear and tear in future.

That's what I know at this level, some other experienced guys might have different/ better/ additional idea. Share please sifu

Good luck and enjoy your journey thumbup.gif thumbup.gif

For 4g91 isc it is using stepper motor. Try to see if the stepper motor works.... Now I'm using mobile to reply I can't find the post where I have teach ppl how to calibrate it. It is inside this thread try to look for it. Your engine is using hydraulic tappets so u have to take care of the engine oil.... Of the hydraulic clogs then the tappets will sound.

Should put all these tips and tricks link on first page, with spoiler. Not sure if this had been done in previous thread, just gentle suggestion.

e.g.

Is changing ignition coil yourself on 4G15 difficult? (only 4 or 3 No.12 nuts, and mark down the plug cable position)

any of us here has the experience of failed ignition coil? what symptom?

just mark down the cables position will do. But actually the ignition coil for VDO they got number marking already. If it spoil, then either you cannot start the car or it causes 1-2 plugs not to fire.
*
Thanks GK, so it's only a matter of 3 to 4 nuts only and follow the No. marking, right? notworthy.gif

So let me adjust the valve before think of this ignition plug coil, 79,000KM on this ignition coil already, reasonable lifespan? but I'm running on gas, should deteriorate faster..

Thanks pomen and GK, cause recently my had been acting strangely since my last change of spark plug, jerk/ misfire/ die off/ back fire when using gas, I have changed the plug cables, not showing sign of great improvement,

as gas operating temperature is higher compared to petrol (and these failures occurred when engine is hot/ hot weather ), as this started since spark plug change, new plug cable, *coincidental timing belt change didn't resolve this problem, so I'm suspecting ignition coil,

otherwise it will be valve seat recession (which required top overhaul), but my regular mechanic told me 4G15 won't face valve seat recession easily, even on gas, so I guess rational way to start is from the least expensive method, adjusting valve tappet then ignition coil...

try retard the ignition a bit...

Boss, any method can retard/ advance ignition on VDO? You mean plug in computer to adjust?

I had only experimentally turned the distributor a bit on my old carburetor wira, heard the RPM changed.

Thanks racer, too bad it's been given back to workshops as souvenir already. sweat.gif
I changed engine oil and normal NGK BP6ES plug from old Bosch *normal plug few months ago, then begun to face above mentioned problems. I have then changed back to Bosch plug (same model as old plug), had no problem for the first few days... but the backfire/ misfire/ engine dies off when stopping problems haunts me back. sweat.gif sweat.gif

Remark: *normal means those basic plug, not super 4 or Gpower things

so shouldn't be plug problem gua. Hopefully nothing major
