Okay, thanks guys, the ignition coil should cost around RM180, I also hope it's not the thing.

Valve tappet cost about RM35, will try this and see how it goes, will update you guys the after these done.

Probably only for NGV reference, minyak users got no problem.

hi all, at traffic light, i will usually put the gear to N and once green light, i will change to D and drive immediately.

however, I think since the beginning of the year, when I do that i can feel that the car is abit sluggish/jerking - as though the gear not properly in place before i press the pedal..

anyone knows what cud be the problem?

yours is 2001, AT 1.5 A/B Wira, VDO? Problems sounds like a bit familiar.

car details correct.. VDO? i dunno. but its the stock engine. what familiar prob is that?  hmm.gif
*
Bit like my above mentioned problem, except don't think yours die off when slow down, also sounds similar with notorious VDO ISC problem. Dare not to gek po/ comment until you have further details. hmm.gif hmm.gif

Yeah since you went through two sets of plugs unlikely it's the plugs . try running on petrol only and see. maybe the gas is no good?
*
Yup you are right, I have no problem when driving in petrol mode.

Anyway, problem solved. The mechanic restricted my air flow by using sticker to block the airbox hose.
He explained gas mode requires higher electrical ignition, when the ignition system (ignition coil, plug, plug cable) is not in optimal condition (has been running since 2 years ago), my car can run on petrol smoothly without any problem, but will face problems like mine when running on gas.

So he has blocked the air flow and it's not the best set up for petrol (less air/ oxygen), but my car currently is optimum in gas mode. Problem solved.

NGV always like that because your ignition is not advance enough.... and the mixture is not correct.

The last time i setup for my friend using a standalone ECU dual mapping, the tuning was quite great....

NGV ignition on idle was like 24deg and petrol is 13deg.... thats the different.... Retard tioming on NGV could result burnt valves
*
Boss Steven, thanks for your in-put. However I can't transfer your in-depth experience into my skull directly, could you please clarify what of your mean by ignition is not advanve enough and misture is not correct?

I had not facing such problem (just the car is always under- powered) before my last changes of plug.

Now my car acts perfectly in gas mode, still observing the petrol mode (as I clocked most of my road time in gas mode, petrol is only used to start the car and before I switch off engine).

So are you indicating that the mechanic by restricting the air flow, he is effectively retarding the timing on my car? which is going to cause valves burn in later stage?

BTW how much is your friend's standalone ECU? VDO wira NGV as well?

I guess it's a compromising method by restricting air flow and dual mapping on ECU would be the best solution drool.gif drool.gif , but stand alone for VDO wira sweat.gif sweat.gif let alone sifu/ master like you to set the thing up ... moneyflies.gif moneyflies.gif

finally settled servicing,

engine oil : syntium 800 semi syn
gear oil : mitsu diaqueen sp3
air filter : osaka
oil filter : bosch
fuel filter: chapalang
gearbox filter and gasket : chapalang
sparkplugs : denso iridium IW16
brake pads : bosch
battery :  century marathoner NS60S
Central lock actuators : autonas

Car feels so damn good now
*
how much they charged you for syntium 800 semi syn? I was frequent user of this oil until I met castrol magnetic semi, but syntium 800 semi syn is still one of the cheapest affordable big brands

what u need is run the system on sequential and dual ignition map to allow petrol and NGV option. NGV contain very low hydrocarbon therefore its octane is higher than petrol. When higher octane fuel runs in a vehicle it would need higher ignition timing to cater the high octane combustion else it will result in pre ignition or pre detonation..

To understand more http://www.contactmagazine.com/Issue54/EngineBasics.html
*
Thanks sifu, luckily i didn't chase you for answer otherwise you might not even want comment, will take my time to digest what it says, and basically is about my ignition timing (for petrol) does not suits high octane gas, I hear when the setting is right with sequential system, the power is better than petrol, like those HKS high octane oil hahaha

been use in your turbo waja?

but my type is mixer, and sequential costs a bomb, so wonder any harm if there is a permanent choker inside my air filter box?

if me...i will try DIY a choke-bypass connecting to the NGV/Petrol switch...so when u switch to petrol...the bypass will allow full amount of air flow normally like a stock car....
*
rclxms.gif rclxms.gif I also had that crossed into my mind, of course since I have no idea with electronic method, I imagine myself pulling one rod that go through fire wall connected to my seat and air filter , like how we pull the choke at the motor bike last time, hahaha, will think of better execution plan on this, thanks thumbup.gif

Now I realize changing it myself it's actually not really difficult. flex.gif
Took for a spin, it feels so good. cool2.gif

I did change twice myself, but felt very troublesome to handle the disposal of old oil, bringing them in pail to workshop. hehehe, then give up loh

hahahaha i just missed the post only but i will reply if u pointed out.... i was so bz travelling around for work so sometime i would miss out...

BTW mixer is actually not really ideal for the setup just imagine u have release x amount of gas for all range!!! how do you want to get precise power for all range!!

Sequential still is the best way.... try to keep some money and invest in proper sequential system! you can get cheaper sequential system in alibaba or aliexpress... dont worry they really works.

My turbo drinks fuel only.... NGV hmmmm budget not there at that time...

chocker is no good actually because it screw up the air flows just to sacrifice for your NGV system.
*
" it screw up the air flows "?? if it only compromise the performance then it's acceptable, cause I drive slow like ah pek

erm, can really consider, you bought thing in alibaba? haha, outdated me only bought small things in lowyat, ebay... sweat.gif thanks for suggestion thumbup.gif

wow, I wouldn't have know these plug and play choker if I didn't ask, thank you.
don't think it's commonly available but will try my luck here in JB

"fitted in the tip of performance exhaust systems"
http://www.mudah.my/Exhaust+control+valve+...5087.htm?last=1

I noted that it describes that it should be fitted beside the exhaust pipe, I thought it is meant for throttle body? ?
or it has the same effect as air choker in air filter box?

i used to rev my car with full throttle sometimes till 6000 rpm when i'm in rush but something happened....
when i rev my car at 5000 rpm 1st gear, there is a weird sound maybe from the belt or the piston... i checked the engine oil level, still at the middle of the point. any solution?
*
Not sure about yours, I heard weird sound/ cause by vibration when revving, it's a fine crack line on exhaust mounting component, my mechanic welded it.

So what is the specs of the bulb i shud look for? I want bright and legal. I dont need halogen type..just normal one, but brightest. Where can i find it around PJ/damansara area?
