How to know if its a new DS?...is it seal in box?...
I'm leaning towards to new DS than re-cond type...which brand is better?..
*
the damaged DS have been removed from my car, 4man said looks like not re-cond type, but brand remain unknown.
ermmm, I don't really know how to differentiate, but I spotted word of GSP"" was engraved on the new DS, also it comes in box packed by GSP blue box.

I don't really know other brand, just judging by the website, hearsay of the seller, warranty provided, GSP should not be the worst one considered we don't have many reliable choices for Wira driveshaft sweat.gif

Just retard the distributor will do....

mxsteven bro, I have something to inquire you or rest of the experienced.

i'm having problem with throttle for few months, the throttle doesn't response when I press on it, I must either gently step on it, increase it gradually or flat it out to get response from the engine.

there is a 4man that advised me the fuel had over-returned , thus it leading to insufficient supply to fuel injector, so what did this bright 4man do is connect my fuel return pipe with a common regulating valve joint and then lower my returning fuel. It's a very fresh experience and anyone of you aware of this? 4man advised that this is a common problem for VDO. anyone knows about this? would fuel pump spoiled by this trick due to higher pressure? hmm.gif notworthy.gif notworthy.gif

yup it is the same problem for BLM... the Fuel Regulator always gives problem..... normally we replace the fuel regulator.... the method your mech did is not a permanent solution because someday it will just fail and u will be stranded beside the road waiting for help.
*
I'm also quite worried, I just bought one normal iron regulator from small hardware shop then plugged it in hmm.gif hmm.gif I think that regulator is meant for mini household plumbing brows.gif brows.gif

so what's permanent solution? other than expensive racing type of fuel regulator like SARD

Added on September 13, 2012, 10:43 amGuys, want to ask, do you guys recognize this drive shaft oil seal, 3 times more expensive than normal NOK oil seal, highly durable and heat resistance, hehehe, I felt paiseh/ overwhelm by the statement when I heard

Hi guys, I have changed the flywheel oil seal, drive shaft oil seal, torque converter oil seal and gearbox filter and gasket. Few days later, I notice red color oil leaking, I suspect it could be gearbox oil leak. What could be the PROBLEM?

Any other SEALS or GASKETS at the gearbox that i miss out?
*
lift the car and check again.
if it is not gearbox, drive shaft oil seal is pretty common if 4man failed to install drive shaft properly.

original would be the best. no certain lifespan, try to soak it with full tank petrol frequently, prolong its life span.

Hi guys, i got slightly problem for my 94 1.6 Wira (AT).

the problem is when i start up engine and begin to drive, after i let go accelerator, there is a little "klok klok" sound come from bottom while driving.
And also when running on unclear road (road with hole around like that ar) it got that sound come out as well. And i just change my front lower arm and bushes (front and back) .

But the strange is, after i had it a long drive on the road (around 1hour like that), i cant hear that sound anymore.

So any sifu tell me about what kind of issue occur this problem?  sad.gif
*
I'm facing similar problem like you, but not as serious as you encountered it at every start up.

My guess is absorber. I guess it's when absorber worn, I guess oil in it also need to be warmed up. sweat.gif sweat.gif might be bullshit, rclxub.gif I will send to check when I'm sure I have budget to do something on it

well, there is a part of Wira previously i heard that made me curious.

inside the "distributor", there is some metal plate/part that a mechanic told me if modified/solder to bigger plate/part would result of better sparks. he will take my distributor and mods it, cost is RM80.

anyone heard of such modification?
*
mine is fuel injection. didn't hear this even when I was driving cabby wira.

For older Wira with MMC EFi, it still have a distributor which is like this;
[attachmentid=3102353]

For newer Wira 2002 onwards which is VDO EFi, it is running on distributorless ignition system which is like this;
[attachmentid=3102352]
*
thanks for the effort, any performance type of distributorless ignition coil. like withstanding higher heat or what drool.gif

My main concern is fuel efficiency, not so into performance.  smile.gif
*
then should try 10W30 or 10W40 oil. if your engine condition is OKay, no leakage i mean

Sifu, my wira tappet noise very noisy. Paid a visit to a experience foreman just now, he asked me to buy some liquid which specialize for tappet noise instead of replacing the lifters which he quote me for rm60 each. But when I was about buying the liquid at the another shop, the boss told me tappet noise cannot be fixed -.- straightaway ask me change the lifters -.- Rm25 each. So any sifu can give me some suggestion? Budget as low as possible.
*
If I were you, change that thing and use the liquid/ valve lubricant I guess

*
hey there are many components formed your car's undercarriage, also depend on what type of absorber and your tyre profile. your friend's wira age, model, accident record same as yours? tyre and absorber also the same type?
