QUOTE(ronnie @ Jul 21 2012, 10:10 AM) Then LYN should remove the "Do not combine" if it's not allowed, right ? so that people like us who start new a thread can reserve post #2 and #3 in order to post more beneficial info in an orderly manner Why put a feature but not use it ? QUOTE(Lurker @ Jul 21 2012, 10:27 AM) see post#2, there's a table prepared by jchong for AMEX vs MCThis post has been edited by Gen-X: Jul 21 2012, 10:31 AM |

But the past offense by some is that they made several consecutive posts (up to 3) in a matter of minutes up to an hour and they always ticked the "do not combine post option" and that is not allowed. |

Else, nobody will see your reply. This scenario is pretty acceptable. Just FYI if you OPT to pay cash, MOST of the time you will get discounts >RM3-5 depending on what item you buy.. epecially accesories. Like kb's and others that worth >200... Like speakers.. anytime they willingly to give you RM25 and maybe a little more discounts off RM300 above non-promo speakers, and it's more worthy then to use C.C, get points + Rebates up to 7.5%~ those we can always keep for more Critical cases where it doesn't even give you 1 single cent discount when purchasing those stuffs... Like Fuels, groceries, and etc etc etc Like RAMS/HDD's and Proc's (IF they do let you purchase Proc without bundle that is...), those are not discountable items... so therefore when buying those stuffs.. Use AMEX!!! They can't Really reject you from buying with C.C. Without adding extra except proc... an Kind Shopping advice from the lovely forumer here... OT: i just found out that @ this subforum... there's "Do not combine Post option" tick @ Post options... means ALL the time will be seperated? |

There should be some leeway for people who choose not to combine post when giving long replies after a quote. It's simply for the reason that the second or third quote would be skipped over due to the huge wall of text.
If it is only 2 or 3 line replies then thay are spamming. |

QUOTE(keretapir @ Jul 21 2012, 11:13 PM) Neither did I. I combined both my VISA and AmEx's TP to offset. That means I offset everything on VISA and the balance comes from my AmEx.Either way, it is the same TP, so no difference la. |

OT OT OT
I am surprise that we have seniors here willing to "fight" for their rights to use the "Don't Combine Post Option". In the old days, we will get flame left right centre for doing this as it is considered spamming. Then again, sometime ago I highlighted erry was spamming using the "Don't Combine Post Option", but no one said anything about it. this thread is becoming Sub Section Forum Feedback Helpdesk, and it's all my fault with me mentioning smsbusiness2u as a post count hunter (tactical move here so that he reply and expose himself to his buyers his true character when they check his post profile and lead them to this thread/section. I don't understand why post count hunter sellers would choose to get to my nerves as it will not serve them any good once I go into mission mode to expose them as non genuine contributors). So I feel is my duty to propose a solution to the "Don't Combine Post Option" thingy argument (not that it is necessary since Mod or Staff or Admin can take whatever action they deemed fit). Anyway, I propose the following: 1. hye to include new rule in CC/DC/LC Forum Terms & Conditions. 2. TS are only allowed to use the "Don't combine post option" for reserving no more than 2 post when they start a new thread. 3. Exception to above, members are allowed to use the "Don't Combine Post" option only after 24 hours like Miles mentioned or maybe even 48 hours. I did propose early this year we remove the post count in this subsection when smsbusiness2U went on a spamming rampage but some of you guys disagree and no one agreed to my proposal. Since the interception of this subsection, we have had a fair share of spammers who are either sellers or conman wanting to increase post counts to make them seem more "credible". Info relating to credit cards benefits can be easily obtained by visiting the relevant credit card issuers' website or simply calling the CS. And more importantly, many just come here not for discussion but to ask questions (same questions over and over again, e.g. GST) and not really contributing or sharing. Most of the contributors here are mainly regulars from the time when credit card was just a pinned thread at main Finance Section and are here to discuss their passion on credit cards and I would think they could not careless about post count. QUOTE(soitsuagain @ Jul 21 2012, 04:30 PM) There should be some leeway for people who choose not to combine post when giving long replies after a quote. It's simply for the reason that the second or third quote would be skipped over due to the huge wall of text. He can quote portion of the long quote which he intends to reply and delete the rest - the way MilesAndMore does.Mod or Staff. Delete above if you think it is necessary and I won't be offended. QUOTE(keretapir @ Jul 21 2012, 11:01 PM) i know about the auto waiver of GST from my amex... If your GST redemption was posted into the AMEX Account, that would mean that your Visa Account will still have an outstanding of RM50. Call CS to clarify and get it rectified if necessary or else you will get late penalty or interest charges for the Visa account.just merely mentioning the GST offset for my visa is entered into my amex statement here some screenies from m2u |
