Bro monaz, u're bike is using LV full system or just slip on?
My bike comes with a Micron Slip On when i bought it, and still on stock Y pipe and headers
Last 2 days 2 of my friends which is on a Z1000SX and a Suzuki K1 750 changed their exhaust, an Akrapovic and Yoshimura slip on respectively

On the Z1000SX  the Akra sounds a bit bassy since the stock catalyzer can't be removed because it has been weldedd together with the header
The Suzy however is very loud and had the best exhaust note so far
Now i felt thet my bike sound is not that loud LOL
So i was thinking of installing an Akra Y pipe but maintaining the stock header ( can't afford full syste
)
Do i need to put PC in it? I just wanna improve the sound because i'm not a hardcore rider who push the bike to the limit..anyway i still didnt know what the function of an EXUP servo  tongue.gif

I think I saw some blog showing his z1000sx cat being cut and replaced with a Y- pipe. Lemme check.

here it is,

http://www.khir-z750.blogspot.com/2012/02/...ith-y-pipe.html

Welly Klang is where he got his Y-pipe installed. I do think he needs a tune-up, now the system is like almost a full free flowing system.

all due respect, but I thought K1 is meant by 1000 made year 2001? Same goes to K8 means its a GSXR 1000 made in year 2008.

thats what gixxer.com dudes rambling about.. lol

Followed my dad last week when he service his Versys 1000 and there is one bike caught my attention. Try to guess what bike is it.

an MV wannabe? with that kind of seat and tyre, and not a monoshock, I think its not a real Agusta F4. laugh.gif

guys,
wanna ask
other than mudah is there any other website that sells 2nd hand bike?
*
malaysianbikers.com.my (mbc) and superbikemalaysia. But these two are on rare occasions la. Since mudah is alot easier to start a sell ad, I think mudah is the easiest place to look for 2nd hand bikes.

But, not all bikes are on sale on the net tho, like Welly's branches has their each own line-ups of used bikes for sale. Chear too. Have to do ground surveys for the best result.

k=2000 thus k8 = bike manufactured in 2008, doesn't matter how many cc, at least that's what I understand. because my bike (650cc) was manufactured 2008 and in the manual the code name was k8. but it's commonly used for 1 liter models only.

It is possible to hand carry your helmet but it must be hidden from the officers.

when I went riding to Indonesia few years ago, a mate brought a helmet inside the helmet bag and was blocked from getting past the boarding gate. We went around the corner, put the helmet inside the bag pack then just walk really fast through the officers. on the other hand, 2 years earlier when I went riding in Sabah, the airasia officers allowed us brought our helmet hand carried even though they knew about it. Maybe it's just luck or maybe it's just international travel rules.

For Bridestone, I believe 003rs is the best average for sports bike as what I seen but for others, it depends on the road condition and weather at your place.
Also your riding style, don’t forget the speed you go for your bike. My most concern, gripping power during track day and daily ride. So, multi compound is the choice.

I heard ppl saying about keeping the maximum pressure if you use for daily ride to prevent from ‘squared’ tire shapes. Don’t know how true it is and whether it is a cold or hot pressure setting to keep with.
At least Battlax is cheaper than Supercorsa. sweat.gif

Just my 2 cents biggrin.gif

Just keep it in the bag. Don’t think so will be any problem. Other than laptop bag, they normally will not bother. Once transit at HKG. Yeah, they asked me to take out everything from the hand carry after the x-ray. But still it was a random check. My always worry is about our own custom officer at exit. sweat.gif

bt021 has been replaced by bt023 if I'm not mistaken. I'm using bt023 both front & back, so far good enough for daily ride. no problem leaning the bike all the way to the tyre wall. stable at high speed (240) but a little slippery when going over white lines when wet.

I don't really remember the exact kms for each set of tyres but I think my previous stock bt020 lasted more than 20k kms, maybe around 22k. now currently on bt023 set, mileage reaching 34k, still got lots of thread left. 20k km should be good enough I think.

yeah about the star main page... my boss came to my desk this morning and gave his views on it. if you read the whole news, the main reason for those accidents were recklessness, be it from the riders themselves or from the drivers. me? I blame the gov for not providing better public transport as a safer way for rakyat to go to work.

According to police statistics, 225,154 accidents occurred nationwide between January and June.

LOL! I think I contributed 2 to the stats. Regardless whether if its moped riders or not, so long as we are on 2 wheels - it makes us no difference. My take on this is very simple, if you do not value your life - you are going to be a mess for yourself, your loved ones and other road users. It is because of simple ignorance and "tidak apa" attitude which is creating such mess. Corrective measures? Yea rite!

Anyway, this is just an awareness article. Nobody is going to be bothered by this anyway.
