didn't work. tried it for 3 days straight, mealy bugs still happily sucking on my plant.
tried also organic pesticide bought from ace hardwair, didn't work.

Yep. Mealy bugs.
Let me try. Have to turn the back-side of leaves and spray directly?
What's the main reason for mealy bugs?
*
Yes. Best spray at the infected sides.

Just curious, the reason of using ajinomoto?

this is mine

Attached Image

right now it is about 5 feet tall

I tried about 5-6 seeds, only managed get 2 success and one dead due to excessive water (rain) when i was away for trip bangwall.gif

It really took very very long time to sprout (more than 2 months for my case) . Don't use tap water (bcos of the chlorine)

wah. quite tall. but i think will need like 10-15 years before fruiting right?

tap water can use. but just leave it out in the sun first. then the clorine will evaporate. .

Looking good! Try pinch off excess growth at first so it can grows bushier and stronger instead just taller..
Currently mine was about 6 - 7 inch tall and still submerges in the water..
Are you going to continue growing the avo in the pot or transplant it into ground in the future?
Because I was thinking to grow the avo in the pot without transplant it into ground hmm.gif

Good idea, I feel the trunk is too thin, sometimes cannot withstand the wind. It was planted in pot placed in balcony, hehe don't think it can fit to the pot soon, plan to transplant it to ground to common orchard ground in condo.

im growing cherry tomatoes in a small pot. the tree is around 5ft tall. pot size is about 20cm x 20cm.

the plant is flowering but not many successful fruits. i think cause living in highrise so not many bugs to help pollinate. the plants can grow as long as fertilise and water properly. this is my second attempt. put more goat manuere and more watering sessions. so its growing much better.

I grew tomatoes before too. Took a while to bear fruits but when they did, it was so satisfactory when I was able to enjoy my harvest although not that many fruits smile.gif The mealy bugs then started coming and I couldn't get rid of them despite all the organic pest sprays. Eventually I got rid of the plants as I noticed that my other nearby plants also got infected with mealy bugs.

If I remember correctly, within 1-2 weeks, I can see the seeds germinate.
