i was busy with my layout at home... still work in progress. will continue again this weekend.
i have no more space... wife already bising about the whole room been dedicated to trains

That is home made ballast - a technique I learnt from a friend from Bangkok (they have a strong model railway hobbyist over there) I took the gravel from the road construction site and filter out the coarse gravel until I got the fine gravel which is suitable to HO scale. But it's quite a time consuming process.

Now I just buy the ready made ballast - Woodland Scenics from online store in US - Modeltrainstuff
