awesome.

Mach card approved! about 5mins after completing application.

now waiting for about 30mins to collect card.

*update: collected card, activated, and went over across the street to HLB Branch to set SMS notification to RM1. HLB Connect can see the new card entry. BTW, shared credit limit with Wise card.
*
Congraz. Did you add any additional category? The dining category is just the same as Wise. So watch out for Starbucks, Six Inch and other drinking places. First page has the list of places that are not under dining.

i read all the posts in this topic, noticed the cashback calculation method.... see below

i'm not sure if this behavior still the same or already been revised to proper 5%.

yeah, as kelvinlzy suggested, always plan properly to have your 4.8% cb to be slightly above x.5x so that it round up instead of round down.  nod.gif
*
Lol. I forgot I posted that. cybpsych your timing was just nice. My statement is just out and it seems that HLB already abolished the way they calculate the rebate as I mentioned.

In August I spent:
RM59.70 at Watami (Dining)
RM50.10 at Johnny's Restaurant (Dining)
RM45.90 at Hinz Mama in Menjalara (Retail..seriously??) fruitie for your info.

So my rebate will be either A.[(RM59.70 + RM50.10) x 5%] or B.[(RM59.70 + RM50.10) x 4.8%].
For A, it is RM5.49 while for B it is RM5.27.

Guess what, I got RM6. So I think it is most probably A.

Many Thanks Ms. Fruitie  notworthy.gif

For me, I take the Savvy package and add on Dining category. So for the Dining category rebate is also the shared RM100 rebate per quarter as well? Or it's a separate rebate cap by itself? Kindly advise. Many Thanks.  smile.gif
*
I beg to differ. For Savvy package your maximum rebate is RM100 per quarter. Any add-on category will also get RM100 max per quarter. They are separated.

Think of it as this way. If I bought all the categories, that will be RM5 x 9 categories on top of my selected package. So by paying RM45, it will be super unfair if I can only earn up to RM100 rebate for all the 12 categories in a quarter.

not sure it has been pointed out, h&m is not in style category.

I am surprised that even halal restaurants like Gravy Factory is not under dining category shocking.gif

I thought it is under dining, if not then you might need to ask sushix to refer CS to check for the MCC.

Just walk-in one of their outlets and apply, they open 7 days a week and you will get your card on the spot if you are their new-to-bank customer.

Hi all, one question here. If I choose for savvy package, but when I spend for dinning, will it count as other expenses? Or strictly didn't get any cash back?
*
Count as other expenses 0.2%. If you spend frequently I would suggest you to add dining category.

Mach TnCs says "The Cash Rebate will be calculated on the 1st of each month (rounded to the nearest Ringgit Malaysia)"

So meaning round UP or DOWN??

My category 2%, spent posted for March:
Statement until 9/Mar (Mar spending) = RM68;
Statement until 10/Apr (Mar spending) = RM360;
Total = RM428.
RM428 * 2% = RM8.56.

CB = RM8 only.
So 56 sen is rounded down??
*
Did RM68 include spending from Feb?

Total spent correct. No mistake at all.

Any retail cashback? I posted last year regarding all cashback inclusive of 0.2% cashback, so your 2% is split into 1.8% and 0.2%. If your 0.2% cashback is less than RM1 then it will be burned.

Ok I found it, though it is not exactly 40 cents on the dot. Total spending is RM109.90, 5% is RM5.495, which got rounded up to RM6, as compared to trojant case, he should get RM9.

Hi, was wondering how I can apply for this card? First, I can only go to a Mach branch and not any HLB branches? And what do I have to bring along with me? Thanks!
*
Go Mach branch apply, it's easier and faster. Just bring IC will do.

Hi fellow seniors, got some question on the Cash Back as below:-

1) What would be the cash back rate if we pay mobile bills via online? Mobile 3%? 1%? or 3% + 1%? (If one selected mobile category) What about other telcos like U-Mobile etc?
2) Does Merchants in Health & Fitness, & Trendsetter are fixed? Can we still get cash back for merchants beyond this list?
3) Will we able to get 1% Cashback for Online, if we pay for Unifi?
*
1. If you have mobile category only, 3%. If you choose online + mobile categories, 1+3%. Only Maxis, Digi & Celcom.

2. The merchants in Health & Fitness are fixed. In Trendsetter, Style and Travel are fixed as well. Only Dining is not. You may refer to the first page for the merchants we have tested so far.

3. Yes.

Applied for MACH card today at Gardens, approved straight away. Very simple application process.

Might choose the mobile category for 3% cash back, was told only RM5 every q of the year right?
*
If you opt for Savvy pacakge, you do not need to pay as Mobile is included in the package. Unless you chose other package, then the add-on Mobile category will cost you RM5 per quarter.

I took the Trendsetter option thou.

The category is not Savvy package but sub-categories like mobile / dinning / movies etc right?
*
If you took Trendsetter, your selected categories include Dining, Travel and Style. If you want Mobile or Movies you will need to add on which cost you RM5 per quarter per category.

yup that's the card.

there's no quota, however much or how little I spent, they give me the rebate. No min purchase.

Unless I' mistaken... hmm.gif
*
Lol, like fruitie said, the maximum rebate is RM50, equivalent to RM1000 spending on petrol and groceries on Fri & Sat. Did you spend more than RM1000?
