looking for hotel to BKK in May, went to agoda.com and tempted to make booking because the rooms are very limited for hotels area shopping/ BTS area. I saw 'Free Cancellation' option, is it really free or comes with hidden charges?

I'm afraid if I keep contemplating, I won't find any budget hotel (<RM150 per nite) to stay.

Dear all,

i will be going to BKK on May 2013, i just finished reading the whole Bangkok V3. There is some questions i wana ask, hopefully you all can help me  notworthy.gif

Q1. I wan to bring my girlfriend to Chocolate Ville as recommended by forummer becoz there is a romantic place to have dinner there, How we gonna go back after we take taxi to there? Izzit easy to find taxi from Chocolate Ville back to nearest BTS/MRT?

Q2. My girlfriend want to got to Siam Ocean World but i heard last time they closed for maintenance due to last time Bangkok flood. Izzit still under maintenance or now open for public?

Thanks.

Just came back from BKK. No need worry about going back to hotel from Chocolate ville as there will be taxis lining up outside but they charge a fix rate 250baht though to your destination within the city. Also, the usual metered taxi won't cost more than 100baht for you to go around so I don't really recommend taking train if you are exhausted from all the walking/shopping. Taxis in bangkok are really cheap. Hope that helps.

Am planning to go Bangkok on 5 Sept (Thursday) - 9 Sept (Monday) (5 days 4 nights) in a group (5 girls). Been there once but follows tour last time, not really like it as its too rush and no shopping at all.

Anyone here can assist me to plan an itinerary. We would like to have shopping, makan-makan and visiting some interesting places trips. Below are the places we wish to go:-

1) Pratunam Mall/Platinum Mall/Central World Plaza/Siam Paragon
2) China Town
3) Floating Market
4) Temple like Grand Palace
5) Chatuchak Market

Any recommend hotels to stay?

Thanks

If you want forummers to recommend a hotel, then tell us your budget.
Last time I stayed in a budget guesthouse in Khao San Road, only 150B per night. But I'm sure you won't like it tongue.gif

Do you homework. Browse through the hotels in agoda.com or sawasdee.com to find out which hotels have suites for 5 pax. Then you read the review in agoda.com or tripadvisor.com.

As for itinerary, you tell us your rough plan. We commend from there smile.gif
