For your usage and medium-level gaming, the Inspiron 15R SE is already up to the task is there any other recommendation, if any? i'll be using for medium gaming, watching videos and do usual office work. BUt why settle for a 15R SE when you can already get a Y580 at that price? Regardless of which laptop you go for, do remember to extend the warranty to 3 years on-site, would come in handy for a gaming machine |

QUOTE(PF T.J. @ Aug 15 2012, 10:30 AM) The HP is better in terms of CPU and GPU performance, whereas the U410 is better in terms of battery life. Between the 2 notebooks, what are their price range?I think the U410 is the better choice here since you're not using the laptop for any heavy tasks, summore the U410 comes with mSATA, which will help decrease loading speeds I think most manufacturers are offering upgrades to W8 (when it comes out) for current buyers **However I've read that the U310/410 has wifi problems, the range is rather short Here's a review on the laptop: http://www.notebookcheck.net/Review-Lenovo...ok.79644.0.html Added on August 15, 2012, 10:48 am Its more like a multimedia machine For gaming, the Lenovo Y480 would be the better pick Thinking of getting the laptop this weekend and preferring Lenovo as some users face issues with HP. If I go for Lenovo U410, what would the recommended specs be and the price as well? Thanks. |

Hi to all sifus,
I am considering to buy a new light notebook / ultrabook: 1. No specific brand. But i have experience with sony (not really bang for buck) and asus (overheating issues). 2. Budget : around rm 3.5k. 3. Usage : surfing, "torrenting", hd movie, autocadding & some gaming like Starcraft II & Diablo III. 4. Preference : full hd or ips screen type, 13" or 14" screen size, ssd only or combo ssd + 7200 rpm hdd & 1600 ram. Really appreciate sifus recommendation. Thx in advance. |
