hi! i wanna get a new laptop and i'm now comparing between lenovo y580 and dell inspiron 15r special edition. can anyone let me know the pros and cons?

is there any other recommendation, if any?

i'll be using for medium gaming, watching videos and do usual office work.

For your usage and medium-level gaming, the Inspiron 15R SE is already up to the task
BUt why settle for a 15R SE when you can already get a Y580 at that price?

Regardless of which laptop you go for, do remember to extend the warranty to 3 years on-site, would come in handy for a gaming machine

Hmm, looks like the previous Vostro 3550 cannot be customized with a dedicated GPU anymore

I am considering to buy a new light notebook / ultrabook:

1. No specific brand. But i have experience with sony (not really bang for buck) and asus (overheating issues).
2. Budget : around rm 3.5k.
3. Usage : surfing, "torrenting", hd movie, autocadding & some gaming like Starcraft II & Diablo III.
4. Preference : full hd or ips screen type, 13" or 14" screen size, ssd only or combo ssd + 7200 rpm hdd & 1600 ram.

2630 is a good deal... but now i'm thinking Y580 is not that far in price... though it is 4gb ram and W7 home basic
