Please share your experience in akihabara, like special food, merchandise, shop

i wan to know if travel alone, die die must prepared how much minimum money for this trip. Everything live and eat will be very budget cost...

yeah, there is a poster or 2 pasted on the shop ground floor, stating which star is coming which day..hehe.

Sometimes the japan railway can be a pain and tiresome, all those different lines / companies, different platforms, combinations, etc. especially in the big stations eg. shinagawa, tokyo, shibuya, etc.

Most important is to keep asking the locals / staff there for confirmation before making jumping ahead.

hey guys.. gonna travel to Tokyo again next year. just wondering if you guys know which hotel has 3 person room available and more importantly if its affordable. thx a bunch

last time i went to tokyo, i use my JR pass. but now feel dont want to buy it. is there any day pass for JR line and subway?? feel a bit confuse with a lot of pass..

this time i focus on tokyo and perhaps hakone, last time i went to tokyo, kyoto and osaka. thats y i bought JR pass..

so there is no specific day pass to cover all transport?

@stimix, i am thinking about stopping at the lake too (togendai) and then go back. How do you return from the late to Hakone-Yumoto, is there a direct bus? Also, from the lake at togendai (last station for the ropeway, are you able to view the red torii gate)?

Just realise that I somehow messed up and add 1 day extra to my itinerary, luckily airasia sent reminder on the optiontown thing and saw the date...omg!! have to cancel hotel reservation and re-book..wah, my travel partner will not be amused

menmissed, that is some great info on hakone there..i am still trying to fit hakone back to my plan..my target would be onsen, volcano @ owakudani and yes the hakone shrine (torii gate)..just checked that kawaguchiko is too far for me 

I will check out Hakone Kowakien Yunessun  yet to survey on onsen choices...that day will be reserved for hakone..roppongi not so important (might skip and walk around shinjuku instead after a long day at hakone).

Planning to take shinhansen from Tokyo Station to Odawara, and then train to Yumoto, return by Odakyu train. Will finalize hakone trip again after i settle central tokyo

yeah, that is another option..but leaning on trying bulllet train once for experience.

Actually, nothing much in Togendai. Just the last stop fro the ropeway down from the summit i.e Owakudani. The rd gate is located in another area.

You can't see mt Fuji from Togendai - That's my silly mistake! I shou;d have end my jpurney at the 1000m Summit of the Volcan crater famus for the black eggs..Here is the best way taking the best view of Mt Fuji. NOT Togendai.

If you want to see Mt Fuji from Lake Ashi shore.. yeah you need to goto the red gate area (I can;t remember the name liao and in order to go there, you need to take either the bus or ferry from the last stop -Togendai.

I decided not to go there once I reach Togendai knowing that I already can't see Mt Fuji from the top ~ 1pm-- All so hazy..

Hi, if I purchase the Hakone Freepass at Odawara Station (3900 yen), can I use it for the Hakone Tozan Railway to Hakone-Yumato?

hehe, thanks for all the tips..yeah, I already plan to view the Skytree and asahi beer building as i walk along sumida river..maybe not go up Skytree as there is entrance fee ( ) so sticking to TMJ.

i have similar thinking that my Asakusa/Ueno day is pretty 'empty', so I am adding Ginza and may even throw Tokyo Tower there..this will depend on how long we want to spend Ueno Park/National Museum.

Yup, I have relocated TMJ to day 3 after I return from Hakone as per your suggestion  just ngam.

No real target at Shibuya so that's why i just put the crossing so that it doesnt look empty hehehe, mostly it will be shopping + walking + eating randomly free and easy.

You are good. I have actually revised my Disney day to one full day too  I am getting the ticket at the welcome center when I checked in my luggage. The disney monorail is Y250 per trip  I am targeting Journey to Center of the Earth ride 

Last day is kinda free so now thinking wanna go Odaiba

Train - RM250
Hakone/Shinkansen - RM280

i cant find that Park, is it near to Akihabara Station?? cos the green shop is very near. very funny when i say a lot of japanese where a mask inside there. RM100 is bloody cheap.. 

just look at night bus to kyoto. quite reasonable price.

darm missed those stuff esp Holidaying wth family...or else.. I probably drop by and those green-green-yellowish pinky shops liao
