Yeah I find Desa Home offer best price. I called them yesterday and asked about delivery to Seremban. Delivery + installation charge $200/-. It still cheaper than any other shop. I am definitely taking a drive to Desa Homes very soon.

I always heard you guys compare with Desa Home price. But how cheap it is? What is your model and price?

Don't bother my friend. We here discuss only. smile.gif

Actually My wrote down price list is still can lower than commotan offer. Ha...ha...

Even we can get the lowest price, but how about the extended warranty or the add in insuarance that need to pay? Normally how much you guys pay extra for this. Or no buy at all and take the risk?

Actually before I bought the LM7600, I was sure I was going to buy panny 50st50k and was ready to buy 6 active glasses! Luckily I happen to come across this site and did some research. Also, the people on this site gave good advice on the price, instead of me looking solely on advertised prices. Thank you all.

Hi Raif and other LM owners,
I am deciding between 55LM6700 and 55LM7600 and the only difference between these 2 models apart from the price is LM6700 is using MCI 400 (120hz) vs LM7600 MCI800 (240hz). But the HDGuru article said that the LG panel is only 60hz and many owners recommended to turn off the TrueMotion. So, given this, is it worth paying the extra $$$ for the LM7600 or just go for the cheaper LM6700?

Your comments and advice will be much appreciated.

Thanks.

Hi chowkh. The only reason I can think of, when I bought the 7600 as oppose to 6700 is because it is the higher model tongue.gif However, you never know if future fw upgrades make the trumotion better, in this case since 7600 has 240Hz, it would be better than 6700(120Hz). Only you can decide.

Got my TV set 1 day later as their drive/delivery lorry was on leave.

The shop attendant informed me that they don't have stock of donggle. But on the day they delivered I called the shop and advise that they bring the dongle too. Else I shall hold some money from full payment.

Anyway when they made delivery all the items was delivered including the dongle.

Hope you have now got your dongle.

My LM7600 is the 55" version. For 2D and 3D, I turned off Trumotion as I don't like its look. Not natural. I'm sure if you read this forum and outside, most will have this feature turned off. I brought my own movie samples to the shop to try the model out. I suggest if you are able - do this. All of these terms like trumotion, mci, 120/240 Hz etc are just technical terms (at least to me). Your eyes will eventually have to tell whether you are happy with what you're seeing or not. Good luck.

Hi I just bought my 55LM7600 from Desa Home yesterday. I got it for RM6300 with 3D camcorder and 12 passive 3D glasses. The box come with dual play glasses as well. This Christmas present made my hubby very happy. He's fixing up PS3 and HDD to the TV. We are still not very clear about downloaded 3D movie, something to do with file format so perhaps someone here can advice.

A 3D movie in a external HDD, mkv format. Connect via USB to the TV, can watch? It's USB, not HDMI. USB transfer audio and sound? I'm a bit lost here.

Depends on where you buy from. Normally you take to the service center directly. However, I bought from Desa Home, LG 55LM7600, 2 years warranty. They said we can call them and they will follow up with LG for us for on-site repairs and such. It's not easy to transport a 55" so getting on-site support is better.

Hi chowkh,
The 55LM6700 is <RM5k. The 55LM7600 is 6.3k. The difference is the refresh rate. I think for LED there's only 2 types at 120 and 240. And according to HDGuru, the LM6700 is not true 6700. All this does not really bother me because I dont think our eyes can tell the difference but I simply chose the LM7600 because flatpanelshd.com reviewed it and said it's one of the better panels and best bang for buck if compared to LM8600 or LM9600 which we cannot afford anyway. You're spending in the range of 5k+/-, why save that bit of money and regret later? Just go for the best you can afford.

Congrats merchant9. For playing movies, I rely on media player rather than the tv usb player but it's your choice. I know a mr X will suggest using a bluray player biggrin.gif

what 3d camcorder model is that ?

for 3d mkv , just connect your portable hdd to tv will do

for bluray iso , you will need a realtek 1186 based media player or 3d capable htpc

Yes, that was mainly the issue, the audio and sometimes some video formats will not be supported too. Well, if you're serious about buying a media player and a 3D one, I would suggest acryan HD 3D which is around RM5++. This player can play 2D as well as 3D. On the audio side, sometimes you can downmix it (audio processed by acryan) or passthrough - audio passed to receiver. If you're a movie enthusiast, just invest in a good receiver/speakers and get surround sound to boot.

Actually, I'm trying to get mede8er 10003dx locally but no luck. If anyone here has any news on this player, I'll be happy to hear from you.

I have a 5yrs old TVIX media player which cost RM1.5k. But as usual time pass, it getting old and cannot keep up to the time. sad.gif When 3d and new format coming, this player have to retire. cry.gif
