Hi all. Just got my 55lm7600 delivered today from D'legend Sri Petaling Got it for 6900 with 8 glasses, 2 dualplay glasses and 3d camcorder. Added 4 more glasses for 100 pwp. Right now updating software through wireless network.

I'm sorry, I didn't ask for the 47" model at D'legend because I really wanted 55" model. At D'Legend Sri Petaling, when I was there, there were selling lm6700 and lm9600 models as well. I seem to remember for the 55lm9600 , they were selling for 9999 while stock lasts. That was a week ago.

As for other LG models - many, but I was only interested at the LMs.

No, I didn't ask the price for 55lm6700 but expect between 1k to 1.5k difference compared with 55lm7600.

Here's what I've gathered so far about lm7600 PQ. My previous tv was a panasonic plasma X series from 2 yrs back. Its picture, imho superb (Now it is my second tv) Ok, back to my observation...lm7600 PQ is good too but when the picture is dark and shadowy....I still think that the plasma is better. lm7600 tend to make everything dark but then I still haven't played around with all the controls. I still need to calibrate the lm7600.

I initially wanted to buy the panasonic 50st50k model. It is a 3d active model. But because of the "active 3d", I had to drop it. Glasses too expensive and I guess not 3d friendly. I still have small children and I guess when people drop in, with limited active 3d glasses, not many can share and enjoy the 3d experience. So, when I heard about LG passive 3d, I was sold.

My initial quote for the 55lm7600 was 9k++ with free tv (don't know whether the same offer as your post) but then I said that I didn't want the free tv and the price came down to 6900. This was 2 weeks back.

I used expert1 setting with the tuning as suggested by that site. I think the PQ improved a bit from the Standard User setting used previously. No guarantees, this setting is for everyone.

For me, the criteria for acquiring a 3D tv was spec's price, 3D friendly and quality. Since I have 5 children and if friends or family come over, obviously the passive will have to do. Also I hate to press the button on the specs to sync with the tv plus to charge or change the spec's batteries, so passive again. Lastly, I find the LG LM series quality to be good too compared with active tv sets.

You must have your criteria(s) too, so after weighing all your options, only you can decide which 3D technology will be good for you. I tested the panasonic plasma 3D like you but imho I find that the picture becomes darker, but that's just me. I'm hoping for Panasonic plasma to manufacture a passive 3D (if the tech is possible) set in the future as I like panasonic PQ (my previous tv was a panasonic plasma btw)

One thing I noticed using LG LM tv is that, if you're watching directly at it, the PQ is superb even for astro but if you are higher or your angle is more than 30 degress from the tv, PQ is just not the same anymore. This never happens to my panny. Anyway I was looking for a 3D tv and my first choice was panny plasma 50st50k but because of the active glasses, I had to drop it.

You'd be surprised how good the LG LM tvs can be even if it is passive 3D. I'm talking about 3D and also 2D PQ. If I didn't take into account 3D, then I'd go for panny 50st50k.

What player are you using to play the movie with ?

Personally I use popcorn hour c-300. The player can play full sbs but the tv output is all wrong (distorted picture). Just gotten myself acryan hd 3d a week back. Haven't gotten around to test full sbs on my lg7600. Will report whether success or not. FYI, some 3d bd isos couldn't be played with this player. Will investigate further.

Haven't you been reading the thread? The price for 55lm7600 is definitely not rm11999 (Yeah, I know where you got this info from but trust me, ask the shops) . For example, I got mine for 6900 plus 8 free glasses, 2 dual-play glasses and 3d cam. Some people on this thread even quoted the price less than this.

Agree with you on this one Xstan. Any suggestions on good pop-up movies ?
