I'm sorry, I didn't ask for the 47" model at D'legend because I really wanted 55" model. At D'Legend Sri Petaling, when I was there, there were selling lm6700 and lm9600 models as well. I seem to remember for the 55lm9600 , they were selling for 9999 while stock lasts. That was a week ago.
As for other LG models - many, but I was only interested at the LMs.

No, I didn't ask the price for 55lm6700 but expect between 1k to 1.5k difference compared with 55lm7600.
Here's what I've gathered so far about lm7600 PQ. My previous tv was a panasonic plasma X series from 2 yrs back. Its picture, imho superb (Now it is my second tv) Ok, back to my observation...lm7600 PQ is good too but when the picture is dark and shadowy....I still think that the plasma is better. lm7600 tend to make everything dark but then I still haven't played around with all the controls. I still need to calibrate the lm7600.
I initially wanted to buy the panasonic 50st50k model. It is a 3d active model. But because of the "active 3d", I had to drop it. Glasses too expensive and I guess not 3d friendly. I still have small children and I guess when people drop in, with limited active 3d glasses, not many can share and enjoy the 3d experience. So, when I heard about LG passive 3d, I was sold.
Talk to you all later when I've calibrated my lm7600. I'm open to any suggestions from all LM owners about your settings. Thanks.

QUOTE(hmwong @ Nov 17 2012, 12:15 PM) The prices in advertisement are recommended retail price. Retailer should be selling at lower price. Let's wait for price war and see where we can get the best bargain. Hope other forumers can share their findings. Too bad the LG promotion does not include the LM7600 series. My initial quote for the 55lm7600 was 9k++ with free tv (don't know whether the same offer as your post) but then I said that I didn't want the free tv and the price came down to 6900. This was 2 weeks back.

Okay LM owners, I've calibrated my tv according to the settings at this site : http://www.flatpanelshd.com/review.php?sub...id=1333359799#6I used expert1 setting with the tuning as suggested by that site. I think the PQ improved a bit from the Standard User setting used previously. No guarantees, this setting is for everyone.

QUOTE(alexloon @ Nov 30 2012, 04:38 PM) Guys, i bring TGV free 3d glasses to test on these LG series. Works great, or it is better if original glasses from LG? It just a normal Polarize 3D glasses right? I got 8 pair from TGV Might be useful if you could post pictures of it or links to the pictures if there are available in the net. TQ

QUOTE(quintesson @ Nov 30 2012, 11:38 PM) Went to test out 47lm6700 series and a samsung 3d led but i found the 3d was somehow blur not sharp compare with panasonic plasma 3d & according to the salesman it's the spec technology that makes the different. Is he bullshiting? For me, the criteria for acquiring a 3D tv was spec's price, 3D friendly and quality. Since I have 5 children and if friends or family come over, obviously the passive will have to do. Also I hate to press the button on the specs to sync with the tv plus to charge or change the spec's batteries, so passive again. Lastly, I find the LG LM series quality to be good too compared with active tv sets. You must have your criteria(s) too, so after weighing all your options, only you can decide which 3D technology will be good for you. I tested the panasonic plasma 3D like you but imho I find that the picture becomes darker, but that's just me. I'm hoping for Panasonic plasma to manufacture a passive 3D (if the tech is possible) set in the future as I like panasonic PQ (my previous tv was a panasonic plasma btw)

QUOTE(hmwong @ Dec 1 2012, 06:02 PM) Raif, There are so many different TVs, it is hard for us to really decide. I share the same opinion as you regards the glasses. At the same time, some models have better PQ. <sigh, so many choice, so little money>. Most of the time, we spent on watching Astro SD channels. How is the PQ of LG compared to your Panny? Currently my Toshiba Regza is pretty good. One thing I noticed using LG LM tv is that, if you're watching directly at it, the PQ is superb even for astro but if you are higher or your angle is more than 30 degress from the tv, PQ is just not the same anymore. This never happens to my panny. Anyway I was looking for a 3D tv and my first choice was panny plasma 50st50k but because of the active glasses, I had to drop it.

QUOTE(quintesson @ Dec 1 2012, 06:57 PM) thanks Raif for your comments. LG LM is passive 3D same goes to Samsung LED and Pana Plasma is active 3D right? I've read the reviews between these two 3D and seems passive have more cons than the active 3D. I'm in a dilemma of choices around $8k is either go for Pana 65ST50 (much larger screen) or 55" LED (brighter screen) currently using 50U20. which will be sharper between these 2 cause I found my Plasma was not sharp enough? You'd be surprised how good the LG LM tvs can be even if it is passive 3D. I'm talking about 3D and also 2D PQ. If I didn't take into account 3D, then I'd go for panny 50st50k.

QUOTE(Ngto @ Dec 1 2012, 11:39 PM) The new LG LM series of 3D TVs now employ something called Circular Polarisation. The image is now close to Active TV image, compared to the previous LW series. However I noticed more cross-talk and the TVs are not as bright as the previous LW Series. Btw, I think Panasonic new LED 3D TVs are now also using Passive 3D. Also I believe that its panel is from LG

QUOTE(maiffa71 @ Dec 7 2012, 07:31 AM) others ok...only 3D movies. Do I need 3D player to play these movies? For full SBS mkv playback, there are some success stories with popcorn hour a-400. However I wouldn't recommend it due to its firmware not being mature enough yet. The link to the story is : http://www.networkedmediatank.com/showthread.php?tid=64064Personally I use popcorn hour c-300. The player can play full sbs but the tv output is all wrong (distorted picture). Just gotten myself acryan hd 3d a week back. Haven't gotten around to test full sbs on my lg7600. Will report whether success or not. FYI, some 3d bd isos couldn't be played with this player. Will investigate further.

QUOTE(ozak @ Dec 8 2012, 01:16 PM) The screen size is not yet in my mind. Still got option for 60", 65" and 70". If the price below RM10k. But got to see which model and some sifu advice here of the feature. Which I m I too argue with my wife which she prefer smaller screen while I prefer a bigger screen. I told her, after a week, you have no feeling with the big screen. Added on December 8, 2012, 1:21 pmThe price mostly from here, tradezone and some local electrical website. I didn't go to any shop to ask at the moment. I still searching for the best price for 55LM7600 (rm11999) and 55LM6700 (rm5xxx) Haven't you been reading the thread? The price for 55lm7600 is definitely not rm11999 (Yeah, I know where you got this info from but trust me, ask the shops) . For example, I got mine for 6900 plus 8 free glasses, 2 dual-play glasses and 3d cam. Some people on this thread even quoted the price less than this.
