Hi guys...many of the Q are all answered in the past post. Do read them ...it's very very useful. Some tips of calibration, some link...some feedback.

I have to say many of the new owners just left the forum after owning them as I'm pretty sure they are real satisfied with their purchase or else they make hell lots f nasty complaints.

I have to agree to some that LG LM series for 3D and HD is top notch. Top in quality. But in normal SD TV , u have to calibrate this as watching hd and sd need different calibration set up. After subscribe Astro beyond, I hardly watch SD channels. I'm into HD channels only. This TV has a lot of goodies and features.
U want free demo 3D it's load with it...but I like best is its Kpop apps. 3D of Kpop is demo material...lots of pop up.

Actually quite number I refer got from the vendor and he did delivery too. It's matter only wether u trust this 2decades old family run shop or not. Remember..LG warranty, anything LG tech do house call.

Kipla ...u get get tips from me to order Ori bd from reliable site, Amazon. PM me if anyone need help. Remember, I'm no dealer or vendor, just simply luv to share. I don't ask any in return.

Finally saw hmwong got his new toy. Congrats.
Yup...to add, I agree with Kipla the bigger the tv the clearer the pixelation particularly obvious in SD, thus why u see better 32inch quality than 47 inch. It's true. Now everything is HD.
*
Ha, ha. Keen observation Xstan. Yes I got the 47LM7600 after much reference to LY forumers. Enjoying the downloaded HD movies very much and the HD channels in Astro. The SD Astro channels are still ok-ok.

Have yet to fully explore the other features and apps. Calibrated the set (according to Cnet) as recommended by one forumer and hope to customise the other setting. Any reference?

Hi, all bros out there....

I am considering LG 47LM6200, which i got RM 3k from a dealer in klang... thought of placing booking tomorrow.... LG 47LM6700 priced at RM 3880... due to my budget, i thought of LM6200....

Before i proceed further, what's the real difference between LG 47LM6200 and LH 47LM6700 ?

Is that only in terms of the bezel design and also the WIFI dongle thingy only ?

Is there any difference in terms of its apps and internal software between LM6200 and LM6700 ?

I got offered with magic remote too.... they will definitely give 2 remotes (normal and magic) ?

Please let me know. Tqvm... bro...

Hi. Let me try to answer ur questions (as per my knowledge) since I had the experience scouting for both models for quite some time. Both models offer similar tech level & electronics except for the bezel and wifi dongle for the lm6200. The lm6700 has a sleeker appearance and comes with a built-in wifi. If the wifi thingy and the looks don't offend u that much, save ur money elsewhere. As far as my knowledge is concern, both models do not differ in terms of hardware & software. The lm6200 does not come with the magic remote. I was quoted RM299 just for the magic thingy thus if u proceed with the purchase, consider that a bonus... Or maybe u can nego the price without the magic remote? Hope this helps.......

thank you, kipla.... great explanation.... I think i want that magic remote after i look through the youtube about magic remote... is RM 3k worth buying ?

scouting through all electrical shops for last 3 days, considering Sharp, Panasonic, Samsung, it seems to me, this is the best option from my budget... which Sharp 47840X is RM 3880, the Panasonic is RM 3980 and Samsung is RM 4020. It has all the Smart , 3D, and LED Tv i need....

Anyway, last question, is LG brand reliable brand to all bros out there ?

Will go make booking tomorrow before end of the world 21dec, haha....

Many thanks again. cheers...

My ex-tv, so to speak, is a Toshiba 32" hd ready only. Comparing between the 2 through the naked untrained eyes, the Toshiba looks a tad better for normal broadcast (astro non-hd) but we have to bear in mind that for a 47 inchers, everything looks bigger thus the GIGO concept applies. Feed the LM6700 with a quality material, u got urself a very satisfying output (I haven't calibrated mine yet). Smaller screen tvs tend to 'conceal' garbage materials into beauty. That is why dvd centers almost always have their tvs as small as possible.... biggrin.gif

If u r looking for the best, the answer is always through the eyes of the beholder. Experience it since we have different perceptions and interpretations on subjective matters. I like what i see hence the purchase and I can't guarantee the same for u.

Added on December 17, 2012, 5:58 pmHi all. Anybody here can assist me in getting my hands wet with ori blurays (incl. 3d) at a reasonable price? Appreciate the help. Thanks.

kipla.... heard you got kang tao ,can get cheaper price, can you introduce your dealer to me ? by adding RM350, can upgrade from 47LM6200 to 47LM6700 , to get the design should be good deal.... mind if you can share with me, the dealer's contact ?

my email: wschoo.stec@gmail.com , mob: 012 335 2713

Many thanks... bro.....

I just bought an LG42LM6200.

A question? I hope it has not been asked before.

When u watch an MKV video, for example. I connect my external HD right into the tv usb, certain movie it has a black bar on top and below. How do u zoom it to make it disappear. It only has full & Original on the setting.

But when u watch astro through HDMI..u can zoom and unzoom.

Buddy...the latest LM series 3D is 1080P + 1080P. So it's 3D is as good as Active now.

2D ...LG wins in colors and widest view angle than Sony. It's important as imagine a house watch by family more than 5. In Sony , those sat slight cinder will not enjoy its true glory.

LG claim than their 3D is "Full HD 1080p" , that its a "1080p" when its being reconstructed in the brain. Trickery.. nod.gif

Technically its still 540p.

Technically there is no such thing as 1080p + 1080p, that would be a 2160p display. Which of the sets are you referring to that has a 2160p?

If you sit close enough to the screen you know what i meant.

Anything that utilize row-interleave or field sequential have to half the resolution, its using a low pass filter, all high frequency sharpness been cut off, but they fix it with a trick by boosting the sharpness level at output.

A true 120hz will need frame sequential technique used by active technology (have flickers) , however if you think this is true , please provide some insights how the polarizer works at 120hz, instead of static fields.

can the magic remote be replaced with a more conventional ones and still retains all functionality (access to all the features)??

Imho, the LM series is good enough for me. I'm willing to sacrifice the full HD for its 3D friendly and cheap glasses. Anyway, this 540p is referring to half-sbs movies right? If you're playing from 3D bluray, you'll still get 1080p - right? or from full-sbs movies ?

Don't think it will be soon, though.

Anyone know where I can find LG 55LM7600 and what's the current price for it? Thinking to get it before Christmas as a gift for the family.

If cannot find 55LM7600, then I may opt for 55LM6700. Can anyone of you who bought it write a review? I am concern about the refresh rate, LM7600 has 240Mhz but LM6700 has 120Mhz. On top of that, my colleague just showed me this: http://hdguru.com/lg-55lm6700-hdtv-review-...z-updated/8281/

How does refresh rate affect our viewing experience?

NO, i meant its has a 540p+540p NATIVE 3D dislplay. It displays 2 frames (L+R) one shot, whereas active uses alternating frames to display 2 frames (L+R).

YES, even the Blu-ray 3D 1.4a HDMI frame-packing format is displayed in 540p+540p.

The sad thing is details been cut in half using low pass filter.

For a full HD 1080p utilizing row-interleave polarized 3D they'll need the 2160p display (projector resolution).

And then, you have 2160p display and would not want to turn back to 1080p. Then saying 1080p + 1080p on native 3D not as sharp as 2160p. Seems like a neverending problem to me.

LM7600 is 240hz , best for true 24p with trumotion turned off.

With 240hz judder free you can drop the frame-interpolation or SOE, for true 24p natural performance, just like a plasma.
