I need some help from you guys. I learn this in one of my Japanese lectures but I am mixed up now. I don't take notes so I don't have anything to refer to.

I was taught that one of the two forms is used when quoting myself and the other if for quoting someone else and some other function, maybe related to tense or direct and indirect quoting but I'm not sure

between "to itta / to imashita" and "to itte ita / to itte imashita"

between "to omou / to omoimasu" and "to omotte ita / to omotte imashita"

the first forms are less formal compare to the second?

just some  random quick check on several first on previous list before goin to bed.
isn't this supposed to be back-up [electric]source?
it should be engine xxxx sensor (not sure what exactly on picture), if refer to 同転, then it means somewhat like rotation/movement)
違う 。its temperature[温] not pressure. pressure[of water] should be 水圧 or directly on katakana as プレッシャー(puresya).
absorb should be this-吸着「きゅうちゃく」。　吸気 is inlet. then 吸気温センサ translated as  inlet temperature sensor.
