titanium backup for apps, and SMS Backup & Restore for SMS(titanium backup can backup SMS but doesnt seem to be to reliable, from what I hear)

Had my 1st FC last nite since downgrade to RR v2.6. No OC/UV. Hope it won't happen again.

i ran thru CM10 installing method; it seems like nothing special needed to be done if you are from CM9. does my current firmware DXLP9 compatible with CM10?

Main thing holding me back from CM10 is that music does not play through bluetooth at the moment.

that means cannot play thru ur headphone then? just need to wait they fix it.

Yeah media currently cannot play through bluetooth. It can connect but still plays through phone speaker.

Phone calls works fine through bluetooth.

For the time being as Antt00 mentioned earlier, just use stock CM10 kernel.
I've just read this Team Skyfire kernel that has added support for JB and CM10 ROM.
The CM10 stock kernel is adequate for me.

As pointed by forumer on this thread earlier, the apps that rating most of the juice is media app.. The same app causing my battery discharge at higher rate.. After stopping the apps it seems all okay.

Is there any cons of disabling the media apps to autostart?

If you use stock gallery or music app, you need the media scan to see the pic/mp3 files on your sd card. But if you use alternative app like quickpic or poweramp, you do not really need media scan as these apps will make their own scan.
