Please implement as soon as you can to BTHO, you have my full support. Haha.
Frankly I think Malaysian is not ready to take cycling as a mode of transport but as sports, yes.
People don't even bother walk anything more than 500metre to a mrt station or bus stop, Malaysian accustomed to driving to anywhere. In Hong Kong, people don't mind to walk up to 2km everyday.
You are probably right, Malaysian is not ready to take to serious cycling yet, but I think cycling is getting more popular, as you can see there are quite a number of shops selling bicycles sprouting up in KV. These shops not only sell ordinary bicycles, but also foldable and high-tech bicycles with names like high performance sport cars...Brompton and Mezzo. Prices also not cheap, when it comes with chromed steel, aluminium handlebar, alloy wheels and absorbers that are better than your car absorbers...all in price ...a few thousand RM lor.
i agree with you, people nowadays love to drive, even short distances...not only that..don't like to walk also...parking want to be as near to entrance as possible....could this be the reason why our obesity rate is the highest in Asia...

Singapore has plan to make cycling a way of life and make it safer for cyclists...watch video..
