they have to compete with the best selling android device in the world - kindle fire which is an affordable android tablet.

thats when we predicted that they will release their own version of cheap tablet to surpass kindle therefore come the nexus 7.

Founder of Android wouldn't want a different company overtake their own product sales.

maybe I'm over analyzing... maybe it's intentional to leave out the rear camera. this way, Android manufacturers still have room to compete.

nexus 7 becomes a test for new owners... then once happy with Android and want better tablet, go with other manufacturers.

Definitely getting one because it's nexus.

Augmented reality can be achieved just by using GPS and accelerometer/gyroscope. Try Google SkyMap and you'll know what I mean.

With regards to barcodes, this might be a hint as to what medium Google wants to focus when it comes to passive info transfer, i.e. they want to pursue NFC rather than QR.

My 2 cents.

hmmm, have to agree with you on the nfc thingy.

but I'd think those apps where you point the camera and then it displays relevant information about that place would be losing out since there's no rear camera. I guess I have to try put sky map first.

btw, anyone knows how big is a 720p Transformer Dark of the Moon movie file? more than 4GB?! ;-)

Really wana c how smooth n fluid it is... hope can finally be as smooth as ios, n no more lag n crash or watsoeva.. n I hope my tablet s wil receive jellybean update too n hope able to enjoy that "silky smooth" experience. I owned both ipad n sony tablet s, I love android tablet more as I hv more "open" experience compared to the ipad ios, but I love the very super no lag smooth of the ios.. even the incoming windows 8 is looking very very smooth.. hope jellybean can achieve that.
