1. CHECK THE FULL SPECS OF YOUR G55 USING SYSTEM INFORMATION. 2. DOWNLOAD FURMARK TEST AND TEST YOUR GPU MAX TEMP IN FULL HD(1920X1080) 3. UNINSTALL THE AI RECOVERY .23 VERSION AND THE ASUS LIVE UPDATE CURRENT VERSION IN THE G55 4. DOWNLOAD THE NEW VERSION OF AI RECOVERY .25 AND THE ASUS LIVE UPDATE UTILITY 3.1.5, INSTALL THEM.(OR HIGHER IF ASUS RELEASES ANOTHER UPDATE OVER TIME) 5. MAKE THE RECOVERY DVDS USING THE NEW AI RECOVERY .25( THE OLDER VERSION DOES NOT WORK, SO DOWNLOADING THE NEW VERSION IS IMPORTANT). -5 DVDS REQUIRED -TAKES A LONG TIME(APPROX 2 HOURS) 6. GUIDE TO DISMANTLE THE G55 COMPLETELY
IF YOU ARE AFRAID OF DESTROYING YOUR MACHINE, DONT ATTEMPT THIS !! tools needed : 1. screwdriver set (those mini screw driver that usually comes in a set of 6 different sizes.. i got mine from Daiso for RM5 2. a towel (use this as a base so you dont scratch you beloved machine) 3. Balls and some common sense 4. Guys, the driver 10500b still cant fix the audio problem, only improves it, sometimes u plug in and the sound still coming out from the speaker, unplug and plug in again then only can. :')

I think I found something regarding the G55 audio issue, just simply uncheck the 2.1 channels in the expert mode and it gonna be fine. Cause if u activate 2.1 there gonna be 3 speakers, the one in the middle is actually ur PC speaker, and VIA din do well in controlling it so sometimes it went wrong so the 2.1 channel function will use the PC speaker to produce 2.1 channel. It's simply my assumption. But pretty much make sense right?

Hi I am back guys, just wanna share with u guys, G55 the cooling system stil best lar, even though Furmark test a bit high, but with cooler, u max out everything in BF3 for few hours, is still cool.

hey guys soon to be owner of G55vw but today i went to the shop ALL IT (Melaka) the guy said that if I place deposit then can get the laptop by wednesday but after reading thread V4,5, and no V6 there is a new model coming so i am gonna contact that guy and ask him to order that model and BTW i only have till 30th July since I am doing software engineering in Taylors so i hope I can get it by then....
