Hi everyone, let me join the whinning =.= I have ordered g55 since about 5 may here in JB and now still waiting ~~ T.T

i found this thread when i was looking for info about g55 and have been reading the posts for awhile~ this waiting is really awful =.= luckily i was busy with my work previously until i got my mind and time free now whining about g55 arrival

i actually ordered it for my brother who was going to UTAR at kampar, and i let him have my 4 years old laptop temporarily as i am having holiday from uni in sg, but then now i am thinking about getting myself a new laptop too.
i ordered through my friend, he is normally known as gigaleon and quite active in jbtalks, not sure if u know about him

lets hope it don't end up being the real XMAS any idea about msata ssd price? anyone? probably 80GB

Thanks for info ^^ i am having around RM500 budget, will try to find out more about it, but what worry me more is installing it into G55, it seems the port is non-accessible which will void the warranty

i am currently having holiday and working in JB, might ask later if i got the chance and time. Please let us know if anyone have asked ASUS Singapore about this

As for the stock for G55, Singapore seems to import G75 model first and only then G55 so I am not quite sure, i remember seeing G75 on the website but not G55 yet some time ago

luckily i am having my desktop and I will only need the laptop in August when my school start that i have to go back to singapore, if not this waiting is really burning , i have ordered since about 5th May

hi guys, i have just got my g55 but after using it for an afternoon, now there is no display at all (black screen) when power on. Anyone know anythg about this problem ? T.T
it was doing fine for everythg until i restarted it and the screen just "dead" since then.

yes , i was running some windows update. it prompt me for restart so i restarted it and it properly shutdown. However, the screen just never show anythg after the restart even for bios and booting. i can see all indicator turning on and some keys on keyboard are functioning as well but the screen is totally gone. it seems even able to go into windows as i can hear the sound when going into windows. but still, not anythg on the screen
