i dont think they will release beta 2, after beta, they will need to modify it once more = longer release date.

torchlight 2 might just follow diablo footsteps

It is ok, just think that the longer they take to make the game, the better the game will be.

You dont want to see incident happened to D3, happen to Torchlight 2. People waited quite a while for Guild Wars 2 too, and from what i know, it does sounds amazing, even to non-MMO players like me.

Okay, thanks for the heads up.

I guess i'll pick up Titan Quest to quench my ARPG needs.

It is alright, i rather have well developed mechanism and gameplay than a garbage game with lots of design flaws. I will wait till next year, if thats the way to make the game amazing.
*
I guess I follow you as well. I tried Dungeon Siege last week.. but didnt feel the hack and slash theme in it.

Drakensang Online felt like Diablo/TL.. but thats mmo.. .so Titan Quest is the logical choice.

They have inherited the old Blizzard's "It will be release when it's done" blood, they will take D3 as an overall "How not to" to do with their game, I think it's good to wait. thumbup.gif

Yea. and the Grim Dawn forumers actually told me that there are ways to make it work on Windows 7. Probably gonna ter-click it too.

Left 25 USD budget. I am so going to exceed my limit. doh.gif

I think, try Dungeon Siege 2, thats a much much better game than Dungeon Siege 1, except you have parties instead of alone in other ARPGs. Feel like getting Dungeon Siege 2, but its quite hard to buy a copy these days.

And the same "Release when it's done" principle also feels like it went to Arenanet too.

Blizzard, the company who invented it, seem to lost it though. :/

Sadly, that's post-actiblizz blood, they inherited Activision's "Profit first, fix later.".

More all they want is profit, not brand loyalty. Reading yesterday's patch log just made me sad, all they add is just more function on the Auction House.

In my honest opinion, being a game developer should build on the consumer's brand loyalty, as making a game is very similar to opening a restaurant. If the food is great, people will keep coming back for more but if you start to provide the customers a terrible experience, they will leave and it will be very difficult to bring them back. Same goes with games, if the game is good, such as Torchlight, people will enjoy it and be excited to buy the sequel. For games like Diablo 3 or EA in general, they have to work extra hard to convince me to buy their future products.

Where is Witch Doctor buff? And i wonder did i bought an ebay simulator or an ARPG? I still think the game is good, where the combat bit is actually one of the best, except Titan Quest, until you meet the damn Elites. Just give me bigger creature with more health, then putting all sort of cheap shit to ruin the pacing by forcing you to kite them.

Different type of gameplay though, lol. TL2 more to delete bad memories of D3.

I thought you have enjoyed D3? Why suddenly changed opinions?

Still, i am on the fence for GW2 as i have never played the game before. Still looking for a beta key to try the game out myself before getting it.

Enjoyed <-- past stance yes. It was fun till they patched non stop to make the game more profitable for blizzard. I already got my $$$ from it, now abandoning ship, buying other games.

I played GW1 for few years, was fun but more on pvp focused. GW2 has built a better PVE environment and a bigger PVP such as world vs world. Played the beta weekend, the wvw is like 50-60 players from each side ganking each another to capture castle, keeps, supply depots. The PVE have random events appearing in each area in random times, sometimes will have mega big boss appear and the players all will go there and slay it, like 50 people whacking 1 boss... but the boss will make all the tank naked cause the tanks will die non stop and all gear breaks, lol.

I would say GW2 will be worth your buck, only pay once afterall smile.gif

I hope i dont offend you, but your comment about GW2 is exactly the same as everyone else been telling me. Such as, GW2 is awesome with a very engaging PvE and well balanced PvP, also the game emphasis on fun, instead of making it a grind. WvWvW is also very interesting to me, as i used to play Battlefield a lot. I guess it is because GW1 is an amazing game and Arenanet manage to fulfill what GW1 gamers wants in the sequel.

I found this blog post on GW2 blog and i would say, i am quite convinced that GW2 might be the game i want. If they keep to the golden rule they promised and dont pull the same D3 bullshit with Error 37 and mass nerfing for no good reason.

http://www.arena.net/blog/the-golden-rules-of-guild-wars-2

Not to forget the frequent tagline, "If you like MMO, you should play GW2, but if you never like playing MMO, you must play GW2", kinda tell me that GW2 could be the "MMO" experience that i am looking for. Also, on the new Dynamic Events for PvE that made the game feels more like Skyrim's free roaming experience instead of the traditional MMO quest systems.

Probably will worth my buck, but i think, the internet connection will be the major obstacle now because my housemates loves to ppstream everyday which ruin my ping to the point that i die in D3 for no good reason. Including a monk dying a lot in Inferno Act 1 with 6000+ armor, 15k dps and 700 resist because i cant run away from arcane or jailer where in practise, i should do alright. I sort of stopped Diablo 3 because i am losing a lot of money due to lag.

I think i need to do something on my end. mellow.gif

Sorry for going OT. :/

You cheated another unsuspecting victim to buy Tit Quest after you cheated my feeling and 20USD for the game.

Now I have to comfort myself by playing Tit Quest every night.... cry.gif

ROFL. I am always out of gold in Torchlight. All of it went into enchanting my gear and buying pots/scrolls/occasional noteworthy gear from the blacksmith brows.gif

gw2 is something which needs perfect timing on skills, especially in pvp. need to disrupt spells and chain combos. in gw2 the skills can combo already, it deals damage differently if you chain combo them. example: warrior can do spin the sword around them, something like yunero bladestorm, then they have another skill is charge to target. If you spin and press charge, it will spin and fly to the target, all targets on the way kena damage. real awesome.

you cant play online games really with shit head housemates sharing the internet. i used to live with ppl when in college days, farkers would turn on torrents 24/7, you wanna surf the internet also cannot. just get a modem for some cellcard and play. don't share with those retards.
