For today news,
4 german website ( I quoted, 4!!) told the release date is: » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « http://www.gamestar.de/spiele/torchlight-2...48,2569132.html http://www.gamestar.de/spiele/torchlight-2...48,2569132.html http://www.gamona.de/games/torchlight-2,en...ws,2123749.html http://www.gamezone.de/Torchlight-2-PC-235...Termin-896475/# But on Runic forum, Staff JoystickMonkey have this to say: QUOTE Beings it's in a press release from our German distributor, I'm going to let BrianW or Travis make some sort of official statement. The release date is news to me though. He was shock as well.. really? Later on, the big boss came in: BrianW » Tue Jun 19, 2012 10:23 am QUOTE Hey, guys. I just wanted to jump in here and reiterate this again: if it doesn't come from us, then please take it with a grain of salt. We've seen this repeatedly from various outlets over the course of our development cycle. These are third parties who are making guesses. It's nothing more than that. When we announce a release date, you'll know. Yes, Runic denied it.. but my interpretation of their meaning/feeling is.. ![]() UPDATE: TL2 box version is available at Germany... so.. to take care shipment & logistic, I think there is a plausible that the Germans distributors already been inform. ![]() This post has been edited by Misfit: Jun 20 2012, 03:54 PM |

At least we need to have a sub forum for modding.
Mod will be the only thing will kept this game going.. and going.. increase the millage, so to speak. We can share what are the best mod around and give opinion to members here. Speaking of modding, anybody here have a talent on coding, 3D modelling, and graphic? I been thinking to come up with a custom weapon/gear/pet mod. Just some silly stuff you can put in the game. On runic forum, some dude ask can make a staff from this: ![]() and later runic stuff came with "shut up take my money meme" On TL1, Blender http://www.blender.org/ is wide popular free 3D modelling software. Hope it will supported on TL2 mod as well. I think I can port my CAD model to VRML (Virtual Reality Modeling Language) so the meshes be editable in Blender. Then need somebody that good with graphic to do the texture mapping. Finally, some coding guy to pack things up to do mod, and the rest can be tester.. If anybody interest on TL1 custom gear work flow, head to this: http://www.dusho.net/_archiv/tl/tutorials/...esInBlender.pdf |

QUOTE(gaeria84 @ Jun 23 2012, 02:58 PM) - Ambient music reminiscent of Diablo 2 (Act 2) 1- Its the same composer for Diablo 2, doing music for TL2. Yes, he dont work with Blizzard anymore.- You can right click to identify an item as long as you have identify scrolls in your inventory - Item requirements are two-fold now, you need to be this level to equip or you need to have specific stats to equip 2- I guess so. 3- Confirmed on the beta There not much activity on the Runic sites lately, so I have nothing to report. With all the pre-orders, Christmas bonus sure came early to them |

QUOTE(Cheesenium @ Jun 24 2012, 01:31 PM) Diablo 1's Tristam soundtrack is still amazing till this day. Even both Torchlight's soundtrack cant top it. Diablo 3's Tristam, on the other hand, its a turd. Of course, nothing beat the original Check here Torchlight II Music Teaser - Rehearsal Recording with the Slovak National Symphony in August 2010. Runic put this far just for $20 game.. dont we all feel lucky? This what real musician do with a real instruments.. . OK, this may interest you all.
Question: How does the game saving system work? Answer from dev: QUOTE by adamperin » Sun Jun 24, 2012 7:03 pm Impressive,Just to elaborate, yes your character is stored locally. Yes there will most likely be cheaters because of this. The benifit is you can play the same character online and offline without having to retreave the character save, as well as a bunch of other benefits. We hope that by giving the user tools they will be able to decide to avoid playing with cheaters. If you block another player in game they won't be able to join any game you are in and it blocks their whole account not just the character you initially blocked. Also Greg has been adding some useful tools to tell if a player is possibly a cheater. They are based around comparing your install data to see if the character you are playing with has reasonable save data such as, the correct stats and skill points for a levels, a reasonable amount of time played for their level, as well as other attributes. This information will be used to tell you if the game thinks they are a possible cheater and then you can choose to play with them or simply block them. http://forums.runicgames.com/viewtopic.php...d1b54ff3622d8ff If I understand this correctly, we can inspect our party member, see the the "age" of character (duration since character is been created), and figure out on this certain level, this guy really can have this amount of gold, stat distribution and skill point. Example, a character with level 5 and 2 hours of character age wont possibly have over 9000 of gold!, conclusion = cheater action required = kick from party, have a nice day! Basically, it down to this. Lawful honest player = play with other honest players . Mischievous cheater = you play with your own kind. Pick what ever suit you. |

A must have mod for me is Brighter Map mod, http://www.runicgamesfansite.com/downloads.php?do=file&id=9 - Quick and simple mod that makes the overlay map brighter. Easy to navigate places and wondering around in dungeon. |

QUOTE(gaeria84 @ Jun 27 2012, 03:12 AM) 1. Outlander (best DPS in the game) 2. Embermage (best AOE dps) 3. Berserker (nice damage, however have low survivability) 3. Engineer (tie with Berserker, decent damage but high survivabilty, haven't really tried engineer yet) Engineer is great for tanking and Berserker is a rogue class = low armour, high DPS |

QUOTE(xiaopuyo @ Jun 27 2012, 08:44 AM) for me i care more about gameplay more than what it looks Once upon a time, well..just recently, there is a game, the graphic is so real and so nerdgasm, people that play jizzing rainbow during gameplay.even how the graphic is awesome , if the gameplay suck , it always suck and fail to the bottom along with the graphic.
