if the price go to rm3699 or higher for fhd, then ppl would rather spend a bit more to get a real gaming laptop such the asus g55 or msi ge series d...

The main reason I am getting Y580 instead of Asus G55 is the weight.
Asus G55 3.7KG is no kidding man, 'cause I am carrying my laptop around everyday.
MSI design is not to my liking so No MSI for me.

if the price below 3699, it will affect the sales of the current Y580@3399. shakehead.gif
Y580 win in mobility compare to G55 with similar performance at different class. They are targeted at different market segment at different class. biggrin.gif
We are lucky if they launch FHD here, since China still no news about it tho' many on waiting list.

u can use GPUz to check it & switch it using Nvidia control panel. Most of the software defaulted to intel graphic to conserve battery. Just switch the setting back to default after gaming to conserve battery & reduce heat.

Y480 OC to core 1020 mem 1300 using forceware 304.79 + afterburner 2.22
Temp up from 74C (stock) to 83C. Fairly loud but stable in non aircond room
I think Y480 is good choice for poor man's GTX660. At less than RM2400 can't complain smile.gif
What's the max temp for kepler? anyway afterburner already maxed out core speed. Better not fry the hard disk.

No idea.
You should ask the question to people in threads where their laptop models are about 3 years already.
They should know better
