We actually did a survey and count pc and mac users in my class too. Out of 48 students, 4 are rmbp, 3 mba 13", 7 mbp 15", 8 mbp 17", 6 mbp 13", 10 alienwares, 4 asus G series, 4 dell portable workstation, 2 HP.
The mac users always laugh at those bulky ones, "wow whats in your bag? Bricks ah? " xD

wow, you pretty good at memorizing numbers huh? Nice word for the last one? Anything I can criticize them? tongue.gif

Holy smokes! Did this app just get released?

It's a real life-saver for MS Office! No more using the frustrating hack that needs to minimize-and-maximize every time a new file is opened.

Thanks again BRY7 for your awesome find!  thumbup.gif

Some people said it only affects LG displays, and Samsung displays may suffer other problems such colour tints, uneven brightness, colours too cold / bluish, etc.

Worst of all, some mentioned that image-retention may develop over time, means the longer you use your display, the higher chance you are to get it.

Just saying. Anyhow, with warranty, no need to worry so much. Apple should cover this under warranty unless of course you are bought your rMBP from local retailers, then perhaps they might say it's performing 'as it should'. laugh.gif

Sorry, do you mean there is a different in terms of warranty claim if I buy direct from Online Store versus from Reseller like Machines, Epicentre etc?

I didn't know that!

its the same, only difference is the first 14 days.
online store has an exchange policy where else resellers might not

i realized something weird on my rMBP, the forward button (F9) sometimes actually repeats the song.
i have to tap F9 twice to skip the current song to play the next one.
can you guys try out?
it could be that its a issue with ML or maybe my hardware

skipped through 10 odd songs and there were no instances of songs repeating instead. tried with both itunes in the background and in focus. fast forwarding through a track while pressing down on said button works fine as well.

I was playing with my rMBP screen today by opening and closing it... And it seems that after a while playing it, the computer sort of "Shutdown" and not being able to wake up instantly... Anyone facing this problem?

you mean you were closing the lid and opening it multiple times within a short period of time? sounds like a good time just waiting to happen :)

tried with 2 songs listed via search, with "repeat playlist" on it switches between both songs just fine. with other options it stops after the last song is "skipped. (which is normal)

you have tried a reboot, right? or an smc reset.

how did the act of closing and opening the lid rapidly even transpire? and what were you hoping to achieve? this time around i'm genuinely curious :P

You are just like my wife. tongue.gif

Sometimes she doesn't treat a MacBook (or laptop for that matter) the way it should be treated.

I mean common.. electronics work just like human being, they need time. if you keep opening and closing your lid, you are forcing it to go to sleep - but while it is in the process of 'going to' sleep, you opened it back up - thus disrupting / screwing up the process. Don't be surprised if you rMBP starts smoking after you keep repeating it. brows.gif
