Wah..16GB also not enough to eat mer? aha
*
is not because of RAM is eaten alot (when i open parallel it still have alot free ram there) but i just dont know why i feel more laggy when using parallel compare to vmware fusion >.< when i using VMware fusion and put minimize to dock, the os X is still as smooth as just fresh restart, but when i am using parallel, it will have a little bit of delay or laggy i can feel, maybe that just me tongue.gif you can try to install both and see which u prefer anyway ^^

Yes.
I can run Parellel smoothly on my MBP 2010 with 4GB 1033 Mhz RAM & SATA 2 SSD.
I don't see any reason you can't run it smoothly with 8GB 1600 Mhz RAM & SATA 3 SSD.

My personal experience. cool2.gif

I wonder if Mountain Lion has dropped on its release date and Macs that comes preinstalled with Mountain Lion can opt to do a clean wipe/install using Command-R and install Lion instead.

Case in point: The Snow Leopard to Lion fiasco where SL users refuses to migrate to Lion after finding out how Lion hogs system resources and made their SL machines which was running fine before, runs slower on Lion. Would the same thing happens Lion-->Mountain Lion this time?

At the very least, purchasers of Macs within this transition time has the luxury of that option of having both Lion and Mountain Lion via the Command-R/Internet Recovery option, as I recall, a clean wipe will install whatever OS that the machine was installed with, NOT the OS it was wiped from. In this case, the option of remaining with Lion, and staying off Mountain Lion until problems are solved, should there be problems arising.

I just hope there aren't any programs you need to run that aren't compatible with Mountain Lion, and you're stuck with Mountain Lion with no option to roll back to Lion because your machine comes preinstalled with Mountain Lion. Which in turn, puts enormous pressure to Apple to make this OS transition as painless as possible. This coming weeks should be interesting.

Doubt so, historically preinstall or mac comes with default OS X is not down gradable. Yeah, I prefer clean install rather upgrade and did this for every OS X since 10.0.

We are looking at the first generation of macs (especially 2011) that is not come with installation disks, is going to be internet upgrade to Mountain Lion. I wonder if 2011 macs possible to revert back to Lion after upgrading to Mountain Lion.
