To those who cracking their head regarding cold start,
Electronic fuel injection car does not require thorough warm up during cold start, however you're advised to idle for 30 seconds to ensure entire engine being fully lubricated before you apply force.
Heat indicator bearly reflecting the temperature of your radiator tank, to boil 3 litres of coolant with idling speed will take atleast 10minutes(provided thermostat in good condition). Combustian chamber burning at 400'C, what warm up do you want? Our Campor engine uses independant electronic spark coil, unlike old carburator engine uses platinum(most are silver contact point only), that needs to warm up before it can conduct heat/electric fire power to the sparkplug properly. So, as long as your car starts, there is no need to warm up at all.
The above apply to most,if not all EFI cars. Stepping on gas pedal before engine fully lubricated will increase wear & tear on engine parts. Proper way to drive is:
1) Start the car
2) Wait for 30 seconds
3) Drive gently until temperature gauge up to normal temperature
4) Slam 9 the gas pedal & drive like a moron
My father once asked his bro(obviously another mechanic) why he drive so gentle still white smoke cumout. The answer is, left the car idle in the moaning engine will burn lazy(less compression in the combustian chamber), auto choked excess fuel unable to fully burn and create residue that resides on valve seat/lifter/valve seal, in the long run those valves will not be able to close tight anymore and lubricant gets into burning room... that's how we make our car become DBKL spray ubat nyamuk.
Therefore, drive gently until normal working temperature, after that do whatever you want. Sorry for missing in action long. Still "suffering" from the "side effect" of installing FSB+RSB
