Here is my FC experience since I've drove this FLX more than 35,000 KM in 10 months :
From KL - JB (300KM distance) 90~100 km/h, one bar >105KM 100~110 km/h, one bar >90KM 120~140 km/h, one bar >70~80KM 130~160 km/h, one bar > 50~65KM Look at this, drove til 102 KM but still never drop one bar... I've try speeding 140 km/h to 160 km/h for continuous 1 hour, so far, no overheat problem occur on CVT. Maybe the CVT get cooler too because the cooler get more air during speeding. QUOTE(huzaifa136 @ Jun 18 2012, 05:18 PM) great sharing from most senior flx userĀ yes, it's stock car.is this stock? and the high speed drive is it constant rpm? coz mybe i'm not on constant rpm (trying to acceleration either to maintain speed uphill or brake for slower cars and then accelerate again) which was not quite efficient mine 1 bar for low 30km very high fc for high speed, not always constant, sometime rev and sometime break... QUOTE(huzaifa136 @ Jun 18 2012, 05:23 PM) highway/long journey mar.. btw 100+ achievable for speed lower than 100kmh that one for highway, but on city drive, the factor not much, it was achievable for city drive toointerestingly i achieved that went drove from kb to kl via trunk road which demand slower speed than that on highway QUOTE(coolkwc @ Jun 18 2012, 05:24 PM) Mine BLM manual @ 3600rpm can do 140km for 1st bar and 120km for 2nd bar, so ur @ such low rpm should be if not better, equal my car FC. So still u need to control ur right foot... bro, manual always won auto/cvt la btw, @ 3,600 RPM, my speed is around 155 km/h, i think if maintaining that without slowing down, maybe >120KM per bar achievable @ 3,600 RPM, the car feel smoother and the engine providing best efficiency power to it, i should try it next time anyway, your FC really geng!! any modding done to your car? maybe fuel saver, lighten up the weight, air aerodynamic? but you mention 1st bar 140KM, 2nd bar 120KM... maybe when come to 6th bar, it huge drop i said so because i got constant reduce for 1st to 4th bar (100++KM per bar), mean i got 500KM++ when it come to the last bar (might get 550KM++ when start to blink) This post has been edited by gogoman86: Jun 18 2012, 08:05 PM |

QUOTE(coolkwc @ Jun 18 2012, 09:23 PM) Normally i travel from JB -> Ipoh, i fuel it full at Skudai, i only refuel when reach Ipoh, total mileage is about 520km. then it might be your driving style different, and might get the lucky low FC engine Of course i'm slow poke, always done 110km/h only, becos poorfag scare love letter from police. But honestly since i bought my car, you nv saw even a post from me that complaint about high FC of this car, when i saw u guys post <10km/L, i'm like speechless and just keep diam diam only. Maybe my driving style? or i'm lucky to get a low FC engine? i'm not sure, dun shoot me, my full tank (mostly 33.XL) won't go down 350km even once, normally >400km/tank at normal city drive. Driving style, shift @ 2.5-3k RPM, that's it. Sometimes get challenge red line all the way, but only few sec, won't kill FC so much. Anyway, no fuel saver in my car or any other mod, just a K&N drop in, and 5W30 FS oil, and tell u, Petronas 95. btw, someone at kereta.info blog did burning rate for each type of petrol using same amount of petrol on the bottle cap and let it burn to finish, and here's the result : MOBIL ----- RON95 --- 26.44 SEC ESSO ------ RON95 --- 26.04 SEC CALTEX ---- RON95 --- 25.36 SEC SHELL ------ RON95 --- 31.59 SEC PETRONAS - RON95 --- 35.57 SEC BHP --------- RON 95 --- 30.53 SEC since you say using Petronas 95 (the slowest rate of burning) maybe it really a factor to our FC because i was used to Shell 95 and able to achieve 6.9L/100km but then i switched to Esso (which is the fastest burn rate), and found out my FC increased to 7.7L/100km... both test was driving at same style, same distance, same place... conclusion, slower burn rate reduce FC??? QUOTE(+Newbie+ @ Jun 19 2012, 10:54 AM) As always, when calculating FC, the best and most accurate way to calculate FC is to follow the standard "pump full, drive normally. pump full and measure amount pumped vs distance travelled." yeah, agree with that... that's the best method to determine the accurate FC QUOTE(flipmode @ Jun 19 2012, 11:25 AM) weird thing..when im using flx, its goes better with petronas..even FC is better than others..when fueling with esso/mobil, fuel usage become high...demit.. look like Petronas have the slowest burn rate, and it really affect the FC to lower QUOTE(dares @ Jun 19 2012, 11:25 AM) BTW, two nites ago while I saw the Esso station near my place full of cars, in comparison the Caltex station next to it sibuk tampar lalat. Petron still using same management team, if i'm not mistaken, the Smile card still validppl rushing to redeem their smile points before changing to Petron? QUOTE(dares @ Jun 19 2012, 01:18 PM) look like we shall stop FC topic tonight, tomorrow HOT TOPIC, everything about eat...! |

Must ask mahihi if got problem anot if so many car show up at the factory.... oh ya, regarding that tak tak sound on the drum brake, mine is gone... last week send my car to Puchong service center for engine oil service, and i complain to them about that noise...Maybe because my drumbrakes have become useless, thats why now no tak tak tak sound dy one of the technician open up that drum brake, he use sand paper and grinder to grind that brake rubber's edge and the surface... after re-install it, now the noise is gone... those edge he grind off is highlighted in yellow... |

QUOTE(DaBestOne @ Jun 20 2012, 03:38 PM) not really float bro, when i test the top speed up to 185 km/h, the feel is just like driving around 120 km/h (myvi if >100 km/h, that's really floating)... i believe the aerodynamic improved and anti roll bar have been thicken to provide stable and better handling... anyway, only try that speed once (9 months ago), and now never try that anymore, back to good and safe driver |

QUOTE(banoriginal @ Jun 20 2012, 11:07 PM) QUOTE(V12Kompressor @ Jun 20 2012, 11:09 PM) actually i did post that during few pages back, now you repost again... btw, we are not cheated, because if you read thru that blog, they didn't mention how much they fill up each bottle, it's mean that each bottle randomly fill up, because they use it for burn rate, not to compare RM1 volume (which people complaining at FB lately) QUOTE(coolkwc @ Jun 21 2012, 08:19 AM) before i choose Saga, i already put few item into my consideration,3 car in my consideration (SAGA / MyVi / Viva) 1) rear boot volume (Saga is the best) 2) audio player (this is important and yet Saga still the best) 3) comfort and stability (Saga is rock) 4) interior volume (and again Saga won) 5) cost/pricing (Saga is the worth) 6) fuel consumption (Saga FLX CVT is the solution, and beated the MyVi FC) Conclusion??? Everyone here should know... This post has been edited by gogoman86: Jun 21 2012, 08:39 AM |
