Guys, 1000km service coming soon,
Question: 1) Thus the engine break in process need to apply in my case-heard can "terjan" only, x need to care of it? is it? 2) When saga goes down hill or drive slow (0-40km/h)- the gear changed to lower gear, chocked bit and hard to control its gears changes. 3) Aircond-somtime ok cold smtime not wo...is there any filter inside the cabin o anyting that i need to take note/check? However the car really nice to drive,stable..syok thing can smell the new "perfume"..heheh.... |

QUOTE(redshark_999 @ Jul 4 2012, 08:40 PM) that engine break in is optional.. it just means floor the pedal. u can jz do it once/twice also enough.. if necessary. Bro Redshark,2. manual or auto? that shud be the engine breaking, it wont use up more petrol. if u press accelerator to overcome that rev, u will end up using more petrol 3. aircond is like that, sometimes compressor works at intervals, thats y u hear it bising for a while, then suddenly quiet for a while n bising again. if u are constantly driving, very seldom that u will feel hot when aircond is max in hot weather. 1) so can drive fastla since break in optional only, is recommend that nt push too hard and fast wor... 2) Is 1.6 SE Cvt la, so its auto, emm the felt seems weird, old school 4auto g/box for sure x hv tis kind of problems, since nt tat familiar with the CVT yet so might be my felt la.. 3) Ic Ic...yala tot gt snake inside the cabin, sometime the hissing sound really loud lol... Thank bro.. |

QUOTE(redshark_999 @ Jul 4 2012, 10:24 PM) @isildur : whichever suits u, haha, if u rather fork out the cash rather than the hassle. you can just go ahead. the engine breaking too annoy la...suddenly jump up-shoot up to 3k rpm...the sound too harsh for the engine too...dn knw how to control it...any idea? @mivecwira : usually after 1k can drive faster already, the logic explained by other senior members here is that the engine parts, are more refined after the 1k service. there are posts in previous threads. so after 1k u can drive faster. they say its to tune up ur ECU so it knows ur driving style, and in long term helps to conserve petrol. break in is definitely optional, i only do it sometimes. haha. engine breaking in auto, is totally normal.. u need control brake, not accelerator during that part. fyi im from sarawak, and i drove up from kuching to sibu recently, a total of 450km. there was 2 hills, as i was going down, despite engine braking at 2.5k rpm, my car speed was nearing 80-100km/h. and the engine braking is a big advantage for our car, especially if you are driving the Genting road. and finally, itu aircond sound memang powerful. proton has one of the strongest aircond compared to others. =) Break in before 1k service nt advisable? wanna drive back hmtwn tis weekend..if maintain 90km/h will take forever to get back hm...heheh... |

Kindly refer 2this ole post (c/w pics) in ole thread re my own DIY of OEM ABL module. Link ==> http://forum.lowyat.net/index.php?showtopi...entry45196469 The single unconnected cable shld be tapped to the "live" cable that goes to the rear brake lamp. IINM it's the Green-coloured cable @connecting socket. Test with "test lamp"/multimeter 2confirm. Wish yu all the very best!! Happy DIY-ing!! Added on July 9, 2012, 9:25 pm Fyi most SCs use 10W40 SS. However it appears recent User Manuals hv put 10W30 as reco EO grade. Frankly tho, all those 2, incl 20W50, are suitable API grades for our climate. QUOTE(zeone @ Jul 10 2012, 08:14 AM) If yu get the OEM ABL module, no messing up of wires. Eh where u purchase that ABL? Reco reco to me...heheh.. Juz PnP...except for 1 cable. So no worries... NB. Juz don't buy the "Universal" Module ie the one with its own separate push-button switch to UNlock doors. Then yu'll need 2pull a long cable 2dashboard & drill a hole 2install that switch. Hmm u mean OEM Auto brake lock? Hmm seems interesting..eh tis kind of the lock is it : ? search from mudah.com http://www.mudah.my/OEM+brake+locking+with...al-15601394.htm |
