May be n56vz fhd owner can test downscale to 1366x768 when gaming, look how the image/game would be. For desktop display, i am sure it'll be blurry as hell.

1080p = 2073600 pixels ~ 132923 pixels density
768p = 1049088 pixels ~ 67249 pixels density

Nearly twice pixels amount for the same screen size.

However, imho, the most important thing about display of screen quality is the panel itself. If the 1080p is using the exact same panel only different in terms of pixels amount. It will just look the same (colour, black depth, etc) apart from the sharpness.

768p version has monitor id "MONITOR\AUO24EC" it's from au optronics (googling)

AUO is still pretty decent. I think LG makes better panels though.

Yeah, some gadgets are blurry but not the icons at desktop..im not sure about difference between HD..but it's look more better on FHD to me..

Yeah i mean, the one in n56vz hd i am currently using is ok, not the best i've seen in notebook though. Meanwhile, my dell u2311h's ips panel is made by LG However i've seen LG mediocre TN panel too..

I have to say that the AUO panel in my U41SV is slightly inferior to that in my old A42JV which was made by LG. Haha

just got the i5 version ... if the fullhd i7 is below rm3k maybe can consider but couldnt wait any longer lol~!!

yup my i5 also same problem ... left hand touch pad sink in and must press towards the middle abit, not an issue for me though ... mostly use the mouse.

Is it recommended to substitute the optical drive with 128gb ssd and get a fresh install of windows on the ssd? If it's fresh install of windows, how can I get back the genuine windows software that comes with the laptop when I moved it to ssd? And will all the pre-installed ASUS software all deleted as well, meaning I will get a completely bloatware-free windows? Cos I feel like wanting to try out those ASuS software. make sure the Sata port on ODD is Sata3 compatible else it will be wasted.
just reactivate your window with Window key on bottom of your laptop? or you can make a backup of the license key with ABR (Activation Backup and Restore). i prefer the former tho.

law, i think if you wait abit more longer ... i think by the end of the year the ssd+hdd version would come out (thats IF you can wait)

to install a new sdd ... it would be a hassle ... most probably > system recovery your windows to 4 DVD then reinstall to your sdd? correct me if i am wrong .. still learning zzz , thanks

even now ppl are selling the y480 with sdd+hdd ...asus coming out this year or not > thats just only my assumption bro, dont take it seriously lol. Ssd just came into the market, it would be expensive for now but later, it would most probably be affordable to the market

Btw, can we adjust the volume of the subwoofer... The laptop audio is kinda louder then the woofer... Rarely can hear the base from it zzzz

Still ok, still prefer separate left and right keys, a bit hard to drag and drop, other than that works fine so far. Yea, hard to feel the bass from subwoofer

Try this song.. butterfly by jason mraz or whatever you like that is quite bassy.. i use foobar set build-in volume 100% + 50% in system sound (tray).

Plug in and out the mini subwoofer.. check what's the different

What i'm hearing is much more pronounced guitar bass and drum pedal.. try Armin Pretty good for a laptop though.

Did you guys tried gaming?..i get crashed just like in youtube video..does i5 model have problem like this?
