Have you guys tried to connect the HDMI from N56 to LCD TV? My Media Player Classic becomes not responding when I connect to my LCD TV through HDMI.

I connect HDMI to my LCD TV practically everyday to let myself watch tv while lying on the bed. It work just fine for me. I'm using players like QVOD and PPS though.

at first when I saw the screen actually I'm not very happy because I saw the pixels are not very tight and a bit dark(maybe because of matte screen) but eventually I've used to it lol not bad what tongue.gif

LOL it's still the same with 14" or other monitors just that your wall will looks bigger, maybe wider,
the icons are still using the ratio as you seen on diff computers, just that the pixels are not that tightly "bonded" so it's not very clear compared to glossy 14" screen smile.gif

Of course if your game or MV is using 1080p it's still looks great(maybe because I've get used to it haha), I seldom play games in my lappy but what I remember is it's also looks great unless you're really choosy on screen resolution blush.gif

ya you seriously have to think twice on the warranty issues. Most of us having some minor problems and my friends that are using N56 all have very diff minor problems, one of them probably will go for warranty soon for the screen
and my speaker have a bit buzzing sound, another one has some static on the palm rest when using ac adapter blink.gif

My problems with my n56vz are:
1) sometimes the speaker/subwoofer will have noise when I didnt shut down my lappy for couple days (reboot will solve the prob)
2)The Lan cable sometimes will not be auto connect when restart the modem (have to reboot laptop)
3)Got electric shock when the fur on my fist touch the aluminium surface which is at light, battery, hdd, wifi logo there.

I think got electric shock mostly is due to the material. Its aluminium. Maybe try to plug in the ac adapter nicely will do. I had this problem with MacBook before also because I didn't plug in the adapter nicely.

Sometimes you buy electronic device is depend on your luck also. Some can serve you for very long time, some will fail you very fast.

have to agree thumbup.gif ...

all brands have their own bad eggs... but not the entire basket will be bad as well... just like Xiia0Ban said... it's also depend on luck since most laptop have like 1-2% failure numbers... whistling.gif

I fell uncomfortable with my N56VZ touch-pad because on the right side it look lift up and on the left side look sink down..and on the top middle also lift up..for the right click it need to push harder, not like for left click..
Did anyone know if I can complaint about this to ASUS Center? Are they will consider about this problem or they just say it just a minor problem? For me, it's not worth to pay RM3599 for the 'unfinished work'.. mad.gif

Yeah it happens to us. Why not use the Asus Smart Gesture? You don't have to click it.

My touchpad (Above part bounced up), right click also harder to push.
Luckily they come with ASUS smart gesture (Tap 2 fingers on the touchpad is right click). Or else I will crash in ASUS Malaysia HQ with a bus.
