Hi Guys,

I just bought the TP Link WDR3600 to replace the Thompson router. Can I just configure all the VLAN to internet if I don't use the IPTV and the VOIP as I want to maximised the available LAN port to my others wired network.
*
your router is can support maxis fiber internet without settings huawei ONT
but you need to flash latest firmware to support maxis fiber can custom set vlan

:eth vlan list
Vid Name
--- ----
1 default
2 dummy
18 HotSpot
621 HSI_vlan <- Home
721 SME_vlan <- Small.BIS
821 MGMT_vlan
822 VoIP_vlan <- Phone
823 VOD+BTV_vlan <- IPTV

You just simply can't. Consider this product http://www.tp-link.com.my/products/details..._Archer-C2.html. If you really want 802.11ac

This model doesn't support Maxis fiber officially but you can make it work by flashing third party firmware.

Right now I have 2 astro connected to the Thomson router. So If I want to use a stronger router for wifi and still use IPTV (I think not a lot of routers support 2 iptv) I can use this method right?

You can't use it as router unless you have network switch with vlan tagging but you could set it up as AP

Your mean is it configure it as shown on page 1.

AP as in Access Point
Meddling settings in modem is very risky and you can brick the device. If you still insist setting it up as router, buy a network switch http://www.tp-link.com.my/products/details..._TL-SG105E.html
