1. Last time I went they dont have any timing restriction/off-limits issue, just like a regular temple so I guess any time is ok.
2. No guide required unless you want some historical stories/background and its not complicated. When I went last time, we just booked a driver+van, and he dropped us there for us to walk on our own.

You're welcomed bro.
I think it depends what's your interests? Like nature/history/etc

For us, we went to HUE for a day trip to visit their ancient city and some mausoleums.
On the way to HUE, you will pass the Hai Van Pass which is the coastal view and quite scenic (If u drive/van, u can stop abit to take some pic).
But this day trip will take the entire day, like depart morning and return almost 7-8pm night.
So you can either do a day trip OR stay 1 night in HUE.
There's some good food in HUE but we didnt manage to try because it was closed during TET(CNY) when we went.

Based on my Vietnam experience, there are no designated car park spot. People just park at road side, which road can park which cannot, is hard to say.
Entire road parallel with Long Beach of Danang, no car park, People just park at road side.

Best is rent Motocycle. Motocycle easiest, they just park on walkpath, whatever I saw a group of motocycle park, I just join in & park.

the problem is the roads are so narrow. got no designated parking spots in city centers. They park along main roads and walk,if not at lorongs and inside buildings. But since you are not local you wont know which is safe.

However if for most tourist spots, they have parking areas. Like Bana hills and all.

The traffic in Vietnam = crazy. Danang less crazy compared to HCM but still alot of bikes which they can zoom out from no where. if ask me i wont dare to drive there.

I used a driver there, if interested can recommend, Can whatsapp him to get quotation and compared to Grab prices.

Ba Na hills not complicated but quite big, a day trip will be nice.
I didnt managed to complete. Luckily weather is nice at Golden Bridge.

For Marble mountain, it can be quite physical challenging if not taking elevator up. I almost gave up but still complete in the end.

hi all,
I am planning a trip to Danang & Hoi An. Will give Hue a miss as I don't have enough time.

A few questions...

1. What is the time of the year to avoid travelling to Central Vietnam?

2. How to get from Danang to Hoi An?
Since ayam B40 on solo trip, not gonna hire a private driver.

3. Money matters
To use cash, credit card, Wise card or QR code?

4. Traveling around Danang & Hoi An
- Taxi, Grab, or motorcycle hailing?
- Can we rent bicycle in Hoi An?

5. I might need to travel with my laptop (ayam working everyday of the year). Is it safe to leave the laptop in the hotel during the day?

Please advise rclxm9.gif

1. I went during one of the wet seasons. Rain awhile then stop. So far still ok just Ba Na hill is just need more planning. If rain damn foggy. Really pointless.

2. Grab. Not very expensive not far actually just their speed limit is 50-60kmph hahaha

3. Cash plus cc for expensive things like entrance fees

4. Walk only. Very walkable place. Ofcourse bicycle all over the place. Some hotel even provide free

more questions...

I am not interested in the Marble Mountain and the Monkey Mountain. Ba Na Hill is a bit expensive, so may also give it a pass.
What else do Danang has, other than the Dragon Bridge, the Pink Church, and the beach hmm.gif

I am considering 2 options...

Option 1
6D5N - with 3 nights in Hoi An, and 2 nights in Danang

Option 2
5D4N - all 4 nights in Hoi An, with day trip to Danang

Please give me some ideas icon_question.gif

You can spend so much day on Hoi An means you like history stuff. 6 Days or 5 Days, You can explore Hue. Experience Vietnam famous "Renification" train from Danang to Hue. Coastline scenic view are beautiful. Hue are Vietnam ancient capital.
