Btw, Bana Hill is more like a European styled theme park, not really a town.Hue is more to historical and is an original town.
Danang / Hoi An, Pls share your experience

QUOTE(Icehart @ May 23 2023, 11:20 PM) i had a MPV from Ba Na to Da Nang. Not sure if the price will be similiar if it's a car, but i didn't request for one. That said, i was there during their 5 days holiday period, so that could have affected pricing due to lesser available cars. |

I guess if MPV will be different. |

is november 10th suitable to visit danang area? I googled there are people saying November is the 2nd most wettest month and it might flood, but some are saying it's the end of the raining season.
If it rained, still ideal to walk around hoi an? |

Just back from Da Nang and I have to say the weather is a killer. Not sure how is it hotter than Malaysia even though we stayed next to the beach. I noticed many tourists walking around with a neck mounted portable fan. Looks silly but given the weather, seems like a good decision.
Travelling around is easy as there are many Grab vehicles available and they are all pretty new and I notice an affinity for MPV type vehicles there hence travelling in a group is easy. We thought we were scammed at the airport as one driver approached us and cancelled our ordered Grab as he claimed that the Grab pickup point was too far away and ushered us into his vehicle instead. He however did charge us the same price and Grab and subsequently gave his contact and throughout our stay it was either himself or his colleague/family member who drove us around. They seem to have this system among them to recommend each other for tourists they pick up at the airport. There were no hanky-panky though and they were very helpful and supportive. Vietnamese seem to drive like madmen though, so even as a passenger any trip is a harrowing affair We visited several places but Ba Na Hills was the standout for me. The whole setup was a mish mash of themes which I felt was pretty strange but the cable car ride (not for people who are afraid of heights) and the view at the top alone was worth the admission price. Language is a concern but everyone seem to use Google translate which makes things slightly easier. Another thing we noticed is how clean the place actually is. From the beach to the streets, it is all well taken care of. It makes walking around a very pleasant affair. Just watch out for the traffic as they don't care about the laws of traffic lights either. There is no right of way for pedestrians in Vietnam All in all, it was a pleasant experience overall for a one time trip. Probably worth a return if one is planning to score Korean mois as there are plenty of Korean tourists there |

Many drivers using Hyundais and Kias as Grab vehicles too. some are, some not there is actually a large population of koreans residing in da nang which is why there is a huge lotte mart there...the whole mall is lotte go inside you'll realize there's a lot of korean shopping eating inside and that was quite a few years ago...now should be even more there's an area which major residences of that area are korean in saigon too....go there, it feels like mini korea Counted 6 flights to Korea out of Da Nang as well, can see there's a sizeable population there. |
