QUOTE(seather @ Jul 7 2012, 07:14 PM) hi D800/D800E users... i have a question can i install a FX lens on the D800 then manually set the camera to DX mode so i get the FOV of a crop sensor (105mm -> 157.5mm)? the DX mode will produce 15mp pictures rite? If if produces lower MP photos, isn't it the same if u shoot at full MP then crop it?

QUOTE(f5calvin @ Jul 7 2012, 07:45 PM) If if produces lower MP photos, isn't it the same if u shoot at full MP then crop it? Differences is that, the D800/D800E does 6fps in DX mode with a grip while in FX not capable.

QUOTE(f5calvin @ Jul 7 2012, 07:45 PM) If if produces lower MP photos, isn't it the same if u shoot at full MP then crop it? thats provided u use FX lenses. if u use DX lens on it, at least u can still view and frame properly without any form of vignetting interfering.

Haha yes 1.3k! I just saw the tag and didn't bother asking discount -.- even if 1.1k I don't think I'll be getting it lol For fx lenses with dx usage you'll still get an fx view from the vew finder but a new grid for DX framing! Looks weird lol Added on July 7, 2012, 10:39 pmQUOTE(Everdying @ Jul 7 2012, 08:08 PM) street price of the grip seems to be rm1.1k... buy D3s better Haha the exact same thing I told cy This post has been edited by Calvin Seak: Jul 7 2012, 10:39 PM

QUOTE(seather @ Jul 8 2012, 01:10 AM) same hereĀ i see the price i str8 go buy AA batteries instead... at least still can use in my remote controls i didn't buy new, just wait till those D3s owners selling their cam and with extra batery then get from them lor..... AA batteries quite heavy, the EN-EL4a feels like having a EN-EL3 inside, but the 8 fps burst sound on a D700 is so sweet.....chechechechechechechecheche........
