Guys, just now my myvi almost cost me my life!!!

Was heading towards a traffic junction with no car going at 60km/h, then i notice the green light blinking then i hit slowly on the brake pad , but the brake didnt work! only got TAGTAGTAKTAK sound , i was scared shitless, so i just hit the gas in hope i can make it through the red light luckily i did, i tested the brakes few times moments later but it worked .

When i reached home and tried to turn and parked, there is this bump that i had to go through, the car made a loud taktaktak sound yet again.

Anyone encounter this kind of problem?

Driving auto 1.3 ezi standard edition, 2012.

Wow seems quite scary, imagine the brakes doesnt works when you need to stop the car. But the TAGTAGTAKTAK sound u describe seems like ABS (like what dares said) but still the brakes should work ma. I think please send your ride to P2 SC ASAP as brakes problem is a serious matter.

Didnt realize the abs lights because my focus was all at the lights. Ive had an accident at the same spot in 2011 by a different car as it was a very prone accident area, what got through my mind was im not going to repeat the same mistake. So i just hit the gas.

Googled through and everyone saying its the caliper problem.

Regardless, get it checked ASAP. brake problems are not to be taken lightly, especially now is rainy season.

does installing Front Strut Bar cause your car to vibrate more at high speeds (120-140km/h)? I seem to be experiencing it now, might be just me though.

It wont cause vibrate during high speed!

High sped vibrate is caused by your wheel balancing

thanks for the input. Mine's a new car though, just driven it over 1000+ km but havent gone for 1st service yet. Looking to go over the next few days.

Another thing that I noticed is, aside from the vibrating there's also more wind/tyre noise that can be heard from inside the car while going at high speeds, compared to when I just got the car.

My HU and Meter brightness reduced everytime I open my headlight. Even when only switch on the parking light also the same. The dim is so noticeable. Is this normal?

It is normal. You don't switch on your headlights during the day, hence you need the meter cluster to be bright to view it properly in broad daylight. Consequently, it is the opposite at night - it dims when you switch on your headlights as it will be too glaring in the dark.

Apparently, nobody has swap or remap myvi 1.5's ecu before. There is somebody who tried remapping his ecu with e-manage but end up the stock ecu will readjust back to itself and therefore the settings of e-manage will lari after awhile wink.gif

I'm buying a new Myvi and the dealer is giving me a RM 400 tint voucher. The voucher can be used for tints from Tint Master and Three S Tint. Never heard of them so I'm not sure which is better. Any ideas? Budget will be around RM 1,000 to 1,200 before discount.

IINM the JPJ ruling says the front windscreen must allow at least 60% of light while the sides, 50%.

Every part Bro. As long you service your ride other than P2 SC. Your warranty could be claimed as Void
