I upgraded from 14" to 15" SC33 wrapped in Falken ZE912 195/55/R15. And I must say this tyres are tremendous in dry. Last night was the first chance I got to test it in wet condition; and the tyres did excellent. Same favorite corner (a double-S), same speed. And there's even standing water. I just zoomed past at 90km/h..

Great tyre indeed. For those looking for a cheap less expensive tyres with the most bang for a buck, try the Falken ZE912. smile.gif

p/s: It's cheap because it's been in the market for quite a long time. Even older than Fatman's PS3.

my experience with kelisa using falken ziex, very good grip during dry..but during wet, i aquaplanned 2 times on highway if not mistaken..and got one time i brake normally only but the tyre locked..luckily the distance with the other car was very far..now just using the cheap silverstone but so far so good..just my experience though...

I just updated the Myvi GPS just now and it seems that the picture animation at junctions are missing. Or the pictures will only be displayed on main highways?
*
junction view will only pop up when u are using the gps for direction, and reaching flyover, some main road junctions, highway junctions, etc2....not when u just open the gps and not using it..

If u look at previous myvi's interior, its mostly 1 piece, basically 1 solid piece, which makes it less prone to abnormal sounds to occur. Correct me if I'm wrong, they design their own interior tis time, where they hav no experience at all. They do, mayb for previous round light kancil n stuff, but if u look at the myvi's interior now, it looks wonderfully premium. Yes, wonderful....to the eyes. It's a design flaw, n I'm not da onli victim. Overall, Gud value car, jus the interior is givin prob. Tis Friday, we'll c.
*
i dont think perodua designed it themself..it is either inspired or ripped off from these cars:

the lower is a bit nicer with the digital aircond ,digital instrument..i dont mind rattling with this kind of dashboard.. thumbup.gif

BTW, if u ever seen the wires/cables behind the HU, what i notice is, they are covered with sponge..i believe it is to prevent the rattling noise..

Any 1.5SE owners hear a "tak" sound when your car goes past 20km/h mark after starting engine and then as you accelerate, you don't hear the sound anymore?  I read that some owners said this is the infamous "koto koto" sound and most SC will know about it alredy.

Anyway, today I sent my car in to replace the 3 parts for this.  However, as I left the SC, I noticed this sound again.  I returned to the SC and have the technician do a test ride with me.  When he heard the "tak" sound, he said that is not the "koto koto" problem but instead is the ABS kicking in and that it is normal.  He described to me the actual "koto koto" sound but I don't recall my car having that sound before and I don't know why the SC said my car had this problem when I first sent it in for inspection. So, I had 3 parts replaced for nothing actually smile.gif

So, is this true?  Those of you with ABS, do you get hear this sound?
*
yes..i have the same sound like u..mine also 1.5 se..i dont bother about it because i only notice it happens after start the engine and start moving at slow speed..BTW, thanks now i know it is the ABS..

I have received a letter from Perodua 2 days ago regarding they are doing product recall for Brake Caliper. They asked us to send back to SC to check. If replacement is required, it will take 1 hour with no cost.

Anyone else received this letter?
*
when did u bought yours?..they send letter your house?

if i lock my car with my remote car key, how do i unlock the car manually without the alarm responding?

i intent to duplicate just the key for spare . i wonder if anyone of you keep any spare key without the immobiliser but just the key?
*
i think the only way is to ask the SC to duplicate for u..remember the code tag attached to your car key when u received ur car?..they will use that code to duplicate for u if im not mistaken..the code can also be found inside your service book..

hi. i'm considering buying myvi real soon.

can anyone tell me if the floating issue really a factor for consider?
should i go for juz 1.3 since 1.3 already float when high speed, then  1.5 will float even more, coz 1.5 means for higher speed right?

my usage will be in city n long journey
*
u should just test drive the myvi at high speed, see whether floating or not for u..for me it is acceptable..i think this is very subjective..1.5 is for better acceleration only i think..since this 1.5 auto looks like having speed cut at 150-160kmh..

*

Added on July 28, 2012, 8:14 am

I felt that on mine too! All this trouble comes after i did the 1000km service.. Before that all goes well! Is there anything can do with the brek and adjust it? Now i have to press around 60% the car will just slow down.. I check the brek oil oredi all ok je...
*
about the fc, it depends on the road..like kucingfight said shah alam-pj..if using federal highway even if jam i think only before reaching ldp flyover..the rest u can maintain highway speed..which means very fuel saving..

i feel tat the auto transmission is not very smooth when changing gear.
anyone experience tat?
*
accelerate gently should be very smooth..does anyone has experience feel difficult when moving the gear from P after a parking sometimes?..i discovered that if this happen, dont force it..let it be in P position..release the handbrake, then the car might move a little bit, then when u try to move the gear lever again, u wont need extra force anymore..from my experience..

Wow yours is pretty save!!! I heard from my fren that u got to reset it once u reset the " trip meter" it will gv a more accurate reading on your average fc... I nt sure is true o nt becoz i nt yt try it yet...
*
of course when reset it is more correct..it is an average reading..it records from the last moment u reset it until the moment when u are reading it..thats why, before a long journey, reset it first..then u know what is the average fc after u have finished the journey..
