Why does it have to do with brake pad????? e

I'm saying the depth of brake pressing.
for e.g
usually press 1/4 of the depth, but now I need to press all the way (6/8)only the braking take place.

Can't remove as the plastic part. Already scratch.. U can only smoothen it by rubbing it with rough cloth..

With better brakepad, u got better braking power.. Small boy push u so hard than only u move a little, big guy push u little only u melayang ady..

i give another example..

from 0 to 10
0 brake pedal is not pressed
10 brake pedal is full pressed.

I need to press the brake pedal to level 7 onwards, only the brake pad make contact with the brake rotor.
from 0 to 7, basically the brake pad make no contact with rotor.

0|1|2|3|4|5|6|7|8|9|10

i was asking is there any way to shorten the depth.. for e.g. from 0 to 4 or 5.

fyi, i'm using IMP Platinum brake pads since march, before this, was RapidStop and Bendix MKT.

Probably different compound with higher friction coefficient, i.e. organic and sintered pads

then u need to check or bleed ur brake line.,.,.maybe ur master pump start to give problem. hmm.gif

Your brake pad are always touch the rotor slightly.. If the problem comes from the pump, when u stepped to your so called level 7, it should completely stop, if its gradually goes to 8, 9, 10, somewhere is leaking..

if yours is 1st batch persona.
then is campro persona...
u need add 1 valve to power sterring there..
cost less than rm 5.
the list out is for persona facelift

Not really.. Driven PE H line before.. The main issue is due to the spongy feel of the brake pads.. The sponginess is to reduce disc wear rate.. Unlike ceramic compounds which actually causes brake disc to wear out faster, but gives better performance.

Brake pedal higher i dont know..

Braided hose does not flex like ori rubber hose will.. For example u press from 0-5, the pads are making contact with the disc, but due to the disc pushing back against the pads, the rubber brake hose have a certain degree of flex, therefore its able to expand slightly. The expansion will cause u to feel like there is no increment in braking power eventhough u press from say 6 to 7. Over time when ur car get older ( ur car is older than mine tongue.gif) the rubber hose will be able to flex more and more.. Contributing to spongy brake feel. But as u say after bleeding then its ok, then after a while it sponges back, mb there is a tiny leak somewhere that is taking in air..

Changing to a braided hose, it has nearly close to zero expandability at all. So the brake feel will be very linear.. U wont have expandability problem over time, and the chances of braided steel hose leaking is lower than u kena Magnum.. But braided hose are expensive fyi.. The last i checked it cost around RM650 for a whole set of hose for PE.

too bad bro.. urs is surely out of warranty by now.. no free change for u.. But u can very easily counter the problem by tying some insulation sponge onto the power steering fluid tube so prevent the metal to metal contact.

Hi,
Hope you guys still remember me.
Today my luck is really bad, i got bang by a kancil. I was going straight and this girl just came out of the junction without stopping and she was speeding. Guess what, she's just form 4 without a license.

I make a police report and now have to claim insurance. Any idea how to do that? I don't have other car and what are the shortcut ways or rapid methods?

She bang my side door, will upload pictures tomorrow.not very bad just leap in abit.
