It plagues all. PE, Saga, and such. Well Proton claimed that the newer batch (late 2011) of IAFM is made of better materials, but I wont be able to confirm that with you. The IAFM+ is said to be a fix for the IAFM's problem, but I dont know how true is that. Have to wait for IAFM+ users to confirm after a year or so, I guess.

If your IAFM needs replacement again, will you consider to fit in IAFM+?

Actually what's the improvement in IAFM+?

Today I was driving from work as usual, gave it a light brake, and the tachometer flew all the way up and stuck there.

OBD says:

The car no longer downshifts no matter how hard I throttle. It upshifts on a preset RPM everytime at about 2k RPM. Engaging from N to D is bloody harsh, the car moves even with full brake force.

After 2 restarts, the tachometer is back to normal but downshifts are kinda harsh when stopping the car.

I feel like letting Proton solve the issue. Moreover my OBD2 adaptor reports that this fault may not be cleared, it has to be 'authorized' by the ECU itself after N number of successful drives (without any issue) before it can be cleared.

Did you misquote jasonloh7906's post for mine?

If crank sensor, can I still drive the car? I thought it would stall. But yes, my car did stall at Tun Razak's ramp.

I bought Liqui-Moly for my 5000KM service, which is due this week:

Oh yes, I think the savings are enough to buy the Liqui-Moly already.

They aren't answering my call. They are trolling me. I don't need X1R when I bring my own set of Liqui-Moly stuff.

CoSE finally took my call. They will have to check it out with the service department. Hopefully they haven't done the X1R thing.

I've been very specific. I even told him what to do with engine oil and the amount I want. He suka suka go add X1R at the bottommost item without even informing me.

I don't like CVT. No enthusiasm in driving it. laugh.gif

They called, they said they will work overtime for my car. With hope, they should be able to complete repair tomorrow.

ECU reports Powertrain error. I posted about the 8k RPM photo.
Water leaking on left side back and front (not really leaking into cabin but onto the rubber below the door). This CoSE found out for me
Door visor on passenger side rattling sound at high speed because of poor adhesive
Whining sound at speeds less than 10km/h
Rear right door has noise on uneven roads

I have more to complain but the order form is already full. Paiseh to mention more problems

CoSE call me, said the chief technician does not recommend using Liqui-Moly. He said LM is for Diesel engines. Warned me that performance of the car will be affected if I insist to proceed.

I proceeded. whistling.gif
