may i know how long does it take to normally charge from zero to full using USB? can charge using iphone wall socket?

Maybe some other guys will have better feedback and all since i only shoot casual vids of the kids. So far the vid experience has been awesome and it replaces my xz-1 for stills and hx9v for vid.

Grey means shop warranty lo... I'm comfortable with it cos the shops 5 mins away from my home and I've claimed warranty from them before... they're even faster than canon taiwan

Added on January 7, 2013, 12:00 amWhen using the iphone adaptor, the charging light will light up but when turn on the camera, it will state that the charger is not compatible.

I think the reason is that the original adaptor has 1500mA while the Iphone is 1000mA. Charging on computer will be very slow.

I get the power2000 external charger from bhphoto for around rm80. Solve my problem during travelling.
The only bad on this camera is sony is kedekut n wan get more $$ from u guys on d external charger.

never use RAW file before..
how to convert them... I convert using Irfanview and it reduce file size from 18Mb to 181Kb..

using Sony converter software, the pic become horrible.. even untick NR option its become as below

No idea man... have not used Sony's converter. I'm on Lightroom 4.3 and long exposure looks nowhere as bad.

Btw... I checked your EXIF and since RX100's sensor is small in the overall scheme of things.. aperture of f2.8-f4 will give the best sharpness (f8 is already beyond diffraction limits) and ISO125 (native) gives the best dynamic range.

using Irfanview, the picture have no issue like using Sony converter but the size become too small.. 18Mb Raw file become 180Kb Jpeg size.. I try to search how to increase file size from it menu but cant find any...

RAW file no problem like above..

It's been a while since few months using it and the result is already satisfy my needs for being Small but Having an decent image quality in its class (dun compare NEX lar) my means that people buy NEX-F3K for example RM1899 with even better image quality since APS-C compare to Compact only 1inch so theory who win !? I work in retail camera shop too jst for information "uncle u buy gold more value or diamond more value"? I buy what i need and what i want Make a logically and healthy comparison dun just lansi and want to say u r everything correct I experience it alot alot everyday, wondering how much effort the company take to make this amazing camera the RX100 when make small pple compare size, when make too good pple compare less, when make pricey compare value pulak, alamak..... everyday treat uncle taste me oso pening kepala lar......

oh my. i think i nvr access to 7.2x zoom function. how to access it bro?
btw, i love the hand held twilight mode so muchie. it made it so easy to capture picture in the night for me

Just access the menu and turn on the clear image zoom On and digital zoom Off if not mistaken or else there is another way to do unusual zooming where set ur megapixel to 10mp depends on ur preference in order to save image size, reducing noise level and still able to digitally zoom after the 3.6x optical zoom EVEN u turn off both digital zoom and clear image zoom, where I guess it crop the image due to lower MP is selected by default. Yup me too like the handheld twilight mode with cleaner IMHO compare to Multi shot Noise Reduction.
