Hi to all Sifus here,
I am a totally camera newbie. Have no clue how to use ISO, apertures, etc but would like to get started.
At first I thought I wanted to get a Sony NEX F3 (the most basic model) since it is less intimidating than a full DSLR and also it has a flip LCD screen for self shots. But then I saw the post you nice folks were sharing about the RX100. It's really compact and can even do the blur effect (not sure what is the right term) of a DSLR which I wanted.
Question I have is:
1. Is the picture quality of the RX100 better than the NEX F3?
2. Can the RX100 batteries be changable since I read that it runs out after about 200 shots? Don't want to be stuck having to charge it again then only can use hours later.
3. Can the RX100 be sufficient to replace the E Mount lenses since it is not changable? (I know this might be a silly question but maybe the RX100 might have some "amazing" lens built in. lol)
Thanks for taking the time! Hope to see more excellent pictures taken with the RX100!

Anyway, the replies as below:
1) Yes.
2) Yes.
3) No, it CANNOT replace the various e mount lenses but RX100 lens is an excellent one given its specs.
A little correction, NEX-F3 is an APS-C sensor camera while RX100 is just 1'.
There's no way the RX100 is better if they have the same lens.
F3 is better anytime anyday.
It may seems like RX100 > F3 image quality because NEX series lacks good lens.
