Still setting up and learning up. This thing seems to really need light... those poorly lit shots (from jpeg at least) smears.

Dunno why the jpeg engine so afraid of shadow details... but in RAW... fuhhhh... damn powaaa.

Sorry for the cincai-ness ... these are LR4 convert....just auto everything and some sharpening. Exif and larger resolution in my flickr.

Thanks! biggrin.gif

RAW output is pretty good. smile.gif
Btw the IS/VR/whatever works good? Your SS are quite low for shots above.

RAW is quite gooding. There's no additional NR applied in all of the pics.

Stabilization is ok'ish... good if compared with DSLR but not as kungfu as compact like the XZ-1 or even HX9V.

I kept the ISO below 400 because I want a small camera with more dynamic range.. those low SS shots are shot with support like supporting the camera on the parked scooters and on my knees for the mercedes shot.

AWB are as realiable as they go. Not 100% foolproof but what is?

Another snapshot but my 60D can't do this. sad.gif

By your 60D can't do this you mean the dynamic range?

Ya... could never keep the signages to clipping while keeping shadow detail without resorting to HDR. Maybe slowpoke here but the RX100 is the first camera that could do this just by exposing for the highlight and raise the shadow later.

You most definately wouldn't regret getting it.

I got the RX100 as a 2nd camera and family snapshooter...still learning but must say that it's fulfilling the latter role rather nicely.

Some snapshots from the last couple days of my kid.
