Today i tested to record video around 29mins. The highest quality setting.
The LCD will getting 'burned' mark slowly...especially on the right side on LCD.
After 4 to 5 hours, i wanted to test for night city lights. I turned on the camera to get ready. Found out strange condition on the LCD. White contour lines on every subjects on the screen.
I checked on every modes and ISO, Exposure levels. Still can't remove the expose white.
eg. Wall edges with white 'crayon' contour lines. Floor tiling edges too. Door Frames. Almost every edges.
When aiming on city lights, they were exposed white. I first thought it was the LCD issues. And i switched to movie mode. It got 'vertical burned lines' on the LCD. It happened on the video as well when i checked on PC. But the city lights are fine like real scenes.
I did a Reset for everything. Lucky everything back to normal.
No more Expose white or burned marks on LCD or video recording.
Seriously this camera get overheat rapidly started after 4mins to 5mins. This never happend on my LX3 for movie shooting.
For photo shooting, no overheat issue encounter so far.
Get the extended warranty if intended to treat this as a video camera very often.
Else....hehe....you get what i mean.
Hopefully a firmware update can solve this overheating issues.
