Hi there anyones has try to edit the Raw format? does adobe already release the latest DNG Converter that support this camera since I find the DNG Ver 7.1 is not supported yet I'm using PS Elements 10 any idea? Somemore I make a big discovery that during charging my RX100, has any of you feel the static feel when you touch the body aluminium part but as soon I turn off the power supply It doesn't feel anymore and I try several times already I can feel the static charge, anyones of you has experience this seems dangerous or part of the design to discharge the static to the body metal part?

I tried.
1. convert ARW FILE using dng converter. now it becomes a dng file.
2. open dng file with adobe camera raw. save file as jpeg.
3. open jpeg file in PS/CS and edit.

its just too troublesome. i find the ARW file almost same as a jpeg...(same scene and same shot settings). so, for now i gave up on arw/raw.

some users also experienced the static/electric shock in dpreview forum. but my unit is ok, no shock/static. i think its just a minor issue, just don't touch it while charging.

my sony handycam bought in 2001 also had this electric shock while charging. i didn't bother about it. my handycam still works till now.

Today i tested to record video around 29mins. The highest quality setting.
The LCD will getting 'burned' mark slowly...especially on the right side on LCD.

After 4 to 5 hours, i wanted to test for night city lights. I turned on the camera to get ready. Found out strange condition on the LCD. White contour lines on every subjects on the screen.

I checked on every modes and ISO, Exposure levels. Still can't remove the expose white.

eg. Wall edges with white 'crayon' contour lines. Floor tiling edges too. Door Frames. Almost every edges.

When aiming on city lights, they were exposed white. I first thought it was the LCD issues. And i switched to movie mode. It got 'vertical burned lines' on the LCD. It happened on the video as well when i checked on PC. But the city lights are fine like real scenes.

I did a Reset for everything. Lucky everything back to normal.
No more Expose white or burned marks on LCD or video recording.

Seriously this camera get overheat rapidly started after 4mins to 5mins. This never happend on my LX3 for movie shooting.

For photo shooting, no overheat issue encounter so far.

Get the extended warranty if intended to treat this as a video camera very often.

Else....hehe....you get what i mean.
Hopefully a firmware update can solve this overheating issues.

Thanks Idoblu.

Is your unit can set video to 60p?

Mine is only 50p for max. Didn't realize about this.

How about the others guys which bought RX100 from local market?!

what card are you using? 20 megapixel files need at least 95mb/s to clear fast

class 6 Transcend. later i will try the class 10 but i doubt it will be any faster
when im using the continuous mode, it will blank the screen for quite long during saving to card.
shooting one at a time is not a problem
