mine 1 is Free-dos then reseller help me install OS de (win7 home premium 64bits).

Mine one also freedos, but that time I bought(29/7) I just bought a W7HP OEM pack and install myself
And after Win 8 out the then switch to Win 8

bcoz the reseller also sell original softwre, so i just bought this OS from him directly. (then it should be genuine gua? got a sticker with laptop)

i dun like win8. so just continue use this win7 first ba..

OEM is just a license...
just check back of ur Y480, if got Windows 7 Home Premium Sticker with ur Windows 7 product key should be fine....

must check until you got the original specs, or else I think you may expose to warranty issues

use GPU-Z to see your graphic card info
