IMPORTANT NOTE: I recommend that you restore your Windows 8 to factory settings. To do that go to Settings - > Change PC Settings ->General -> Remove Everything and Reinstall Windows. BACKUP YOUR FILES BEFORE DOING THIS!

Every time a driver says my computer needs to restart, I restart. It's worth the wait.

Touchpad Notes
Our Lenovo Y580's touchpad will work like a touch screen device (with the gestures). If you will notice, scrolling up and down is opposite than the normal. The reason for that I think is that, it's as if we're swiping down from the screen. You'll get it when you use it. Haha.

Touchpad Shortcuts
Swipe from rightmost of touchpad: brings out the search, share, start, devices and setting menu
Swipe from leftmost of the touchpad: next program (switches programs)
Swipe from uppermost of touchpad: bring out the menu of the app/program you are running
Swipe from lowermost: nothing. haha.

USB 3.0 Fixes
If you're USB 3.0 hard drives keep getting disconnected or is not running USB 3.0 do this:
1. When you install the Lenovo Power Management, open it and turn off the hard disk drive power saver option.
2. After that select the USB 3.0 hard drive, right click and select properties -> Hardware -> Select the USB 3.0 drive -> Properties -> a pop up will open then select Change Settings -> Select the Policies Tab and then set Removal Policy to Better Performance then ok. Shut down Windows 8, remove your portable USB 3.0 drive and boot up then plug the USB 3.0 drive again.

After doing all of this, I was able to use my portable usb 3.0 drive properly in full speeds.

I hope this helps and I hope all of you will be able to enjoy Windows 8 Pro as well.

but i dont think is driver problem, coz what i'm facing is cant turn on the wifi. when i press the Fn+F5 it just swithching between flight and wifi mode

my advice is dont do upgrade to win 8 1st, cuz i just reverse from win 8 to win 7 due to the wifi issue, everything work fine except the wifi
