got my y580 finally... after recovering windows in my ssd... 70gb left only, after update n install essential progs.. left only 63gb.. omg!!! 128gb ssd enuf ar?

Just got my Y580 last week, it's the i7 2.4ghz model  hehe So far so good, the backup took 3 DVD :S I plan to go for SSD and Caddy HDD later 128Gb SSD for OS and frequently used programs should be sufficient geh Data all store in the caddy hdd

from jb ,bought new batch of Y580 from PIKOM i73630 version for 2899 with extra 4GB ram thrown in...everything is find but found out that my FHD screen (LG) is made on 2009...haizz

hey frd, i was going to buy d Y580,when i ask d shop salesgirl.she told me that if i upgraded d hdd to ssd and removed d bluray drive,i wil void my warranty...sad .is this true???

If I am not mistaken, there aren't any warranty void sticker around those component. So I don't think it will cause any warranty issue. Usually changing the ram, hard disk and ROM is fine. But for some high end machine, like the Asus G55VW, I was told that we can't even change the hdd or ram as there is a warranty void sticker around it. So that's what stopping us.
