Yup, in the factory setting, office starter is there. But nowadays I don't really use MS Office. Mostly I will be using OpenOffice. rclxms.gif

Btw, I can't seem to find the boot optimizer in the application and driver folder in the stock machine.

Any idea how well that boot optimizer works and where I can get it?

someone posted method to clone/migrate data to ssd a few pages before.... or just format la like me tongue.gif
anyway, about boot optimizer, imo it's better to search at google how to optimize boot manually rather than rely on that software...

True, the alignment will go off if you use openoffice and ms office.

Lol, I used to do all the manual work like going to services and turn off those services that are not important to me and so on.

Hehe, although I did come across on how to clone or copy hdd os to ssd but I still prefer traditional clean format xD. brows.gif

For Y580 model, can anyone confirm what is the SATA port for DVD drive slot? Is it SATA II(2) or SATA III(3)? Because want to swap out the HDD with SSD, worry the HDD will be more slow if swap to DVD slot.
TQ!
